Prayer for sick Daughter in Hospital

My brother and sister. Tonight I respectfully ask for your prayers to support my daughter wellbeing and health. She (###) is currently in the hospital fighting infection. She is currently in severe pain and the hospital is doing what they can to heal her. Jesus I humbly ask that you lay your hand upon my daughter and heal her from this infection my lord. I trust in you for you are our Lord and Savior. Amen

We lift up your precious daughter in this time of distress, standing together in faith and intercession. The pain and uncertainty you both are enduring weighs heavily on our hearts, and we join you in crying out to the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Your trust in the Lord is a testament to your faith, and we pray that He strengthens it even more as you wait on Him.

The Word of God assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your daughter, believing that the Lord sees her suffering and is already at work. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Though her pain is severe, we pray that His nearness brings her comfort and peace that surpasses understanding.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team treating her. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May the doctors and nurses be guided by the Holy Spirit in every decision they make, and may their efforts be blessed by the Lord’s hand.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon this dear child. Touch her body, Lord, and drive out every trace of infection. Ease her pain, soothe her spirit, and restore her strength. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your Word, which cannot return void (Isaiah 55:11).

We also pray for you and your family during this trial. It is not easy to watch a loved one suffer, and we ask that the Lord fills you with His peace and hope. May you feel His presence in tangible ways, reminding you that you are not alone. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to creep into this situation. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in Your unfailing love. Strengthen this family’s faith, Lord, and let them see Your glory manifested in this circumstance. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified, whether in healing or in sustaining grace.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

We are holding your daughter before the Lord with you tonight. Watching your child in severe pain, waiting as the hospital does its work, is one of the hardest places a parent can be, exhausting, frightening, and so very heavy. We are lifting her name now, asking Jesus Himself to bring healing to her body and to give her relief from the pain she is enduring.

In moments like this, it can help to remember that you do not have to carry this weight alone. The body of Christ carries it with you, and God Himself is near. We are trusting Him for wisdom for her doctors and nurses, for the infection to clear, and for your daughter's strength to return. If there is anything you need to ask the medical team, about pain management or what signs of progress to watch for, please don't hesitate to do so. It's not a lack of faith to seek every avenue of help available; it's part of how God cares for us.

As you sit with your daughter, your steady presence is itself a gift. You don't need to have the right words; you are simply there, loving her, reminding her she is not alone. That matters more than you know. And when the fear rises in your own heart, you can breathe a simple prayer: Jesus, help her. Jesus, hold us.

Lord Jesus, we bring this precious daughter before You now. You see her in that hospital bed; You know the pain she is feeling. We ask You to rebuke this infection and bring healing to every part of her body. Grant her relief from pain, rest for her weary frame, and peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen her parents as they watch and wait. Give wisdom and clarity to every doctor and nurse caring for her. We place our trust in You, Lord, for You are our healer and our hope. In Your mighty name, Jesus, amen.

The leaves of the Tree are for healing, and the least thing about Christ drips with restoring balm. What is this severe pain and this raging infection but a fresh occasion for the Great Physician to lay His hand upon your daughter and show that He is still Jehovah-Rophi, the Lord that heals? You cry from the depths of a parent’s anguish, and the cry goes up where Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, ever living to make intercession. He knows the fevers that burn and the pains that rack the frame, for He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Let your faith now rest not in the hospital’s power, blessed as means may be, but in Him who comes with healing in His wings. The very leaf of His presence, the faintest touch of His garment’s hem, can chase away the contagion and quiet the throbbing brow.

Do not let the waves of fear drown your trust. Has He not linked pardon and healing as one gift in His pierced hands? When He comes to dwell with His people, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Lay hold of this double cord: forgiveness for every sin and healing for every disease. Bring your daughter constantly before the Lord, in your thoughts, in your whispered prayers, in the importunate cries of the night watches. Jesus’ eyes are upon her; He sees the struggle, He notes the tears, He counts the sleepless hours. And in His hospital, there never was a patient turned away incurable. He is able to save to the uttermost, and to heal to the uttermost. The fever that men call great is but a little thing beneath His sovereign word.

Yet remember that the healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching. Do not keep her soul from the hearing of His Word while you seek her body’s restoration. Speak to her of the cross where the balm was distilled; remind her that the blood which atones for sin also purchased ultimate healing for these poor frames of clay. In the Divine Hospital, the chief Surgeon does not merely point at the disease, He applies the remedy. There is healing in the Incarnation, for He took our nature; there is healing in the Atonement, for He bore our griefs; there is healing in the Resurrection, for He lives to perfect our wholeness. Whether her healing comes through the gradual work of nature aided by skill, or by a sudden rebuke to the sickness, it is all from the same pierced hand that was nailed for her.

Sustain your own heart, too, for a parent’s spirit is deeply wounded when a child lies in agony. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. The serenity that can look upon a beloved form wracked with pain and yet say, “It is the Lord, let Him do what seems good to Him,” is a rare flower that grows only in the garden of grace. Seek that calm resignation born of trust. Let your holy patience prove you to be a true child of Abraham and Sarah, not afraid with any amazement. The Lord’s compassions fail not; under the eyelids of the Watcher of Israel, no pang goes unheeded. He who made the ear shall He not hear? He who formed the eye shall He not see? He who knows every nerve and sinew shall He fail in tenderness?

Pray now as one who expects an answer. Take the promise to the Mercy Seat and spread it before the King. Say to Him, “Lord, You have said that the leaves are for healing; give my child to eat of that leaf. You have declared that You heal all manner of sickness; let this infection flee at Your rebuke.” He loves to be commanded by His own faithful word. And when you have prayed, watch with eyes of hope. Though she lies in severe pain at this hour, the morning may bring deliverance. Even if the healing tarries, there is a heavenly hospital where the patient shall never again feel a shooting pain or a burning agitation, where they have no need to say they are sick, for they are without spot before the throne. Until that yonder day, these days of affliction are but the dark soil in which faith strikes its roots deeper. Be of good courage and wait on the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
