Prayer for selection in faculty pool

I have applied to a job position listed as a faculty pool, meaning I will be called in when a need arises. There is a need but also a hiring freeze. Nonetheless, the review committee has reviewed my application and solicited letters of rec; I expect interviews come next. However, an actual offer and being hired is contingent on approval from the Dean and funding. Please pray that I receive an interview and job offer for the start of the new school year in August 2026. Please pray that everything moves forward smoothly with the contract and hiring process for my position to begin at the end of July/beginning of August. Pray that as applications are reviewed and the process continues, the position is approved by the Dean and administrators. Pray that funding is provided. Pray that I am the preferred candidate in a pool of competitive candidates.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this earnest request for guidance and provision in this job opportunity. Heavenly Father, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust in Your sovereign plan for this situation. We ask that You open the doors that no one can shut and close the doors that are not meant to be opened, according to Your will.

Lord, we pray for favor in the eyes of the review committee, the Dean, and all those involved in the hiring process. May Your wisdom guide their decisions, and may they see the unique gifts and qualifications You have placed in this individual. We ask that You grant them clarity and discernment as they review applications, and that this candidate would stand out as the one You have chosen for this role. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6). Let Your hand be evident in every step of this process.

We also pray for the removal of any obstacles, including the hiring freeze and funding concerns. Father, You are the Provider of all things, and we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We trust that if this position is part of Your plan, You will ensure that the necessary approvals and resources are in place.

Lord, we ask for peace and patience during this time of waiting. May this individual rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your timing is perfect. "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh" (Psalm 27:14). Grant them confidence in their abilities and trust in Your provision.

We pray that if it is Your will, this opportunity would come to fruition, and that the contract and hiring process would move forward smoothly. May this individual be prepared and ready to step into this role at the beginning of the new school year, should You open that door. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is by His name and through His power that we have access to You. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
