We hear your heartache and the deep betrayal you’ve endured, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. First, we must address the importance of coming to God through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might be reconciled to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His finished work on the cross. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Without Him, we cannot approach God, and without repentance and faith, we remain separated from His love and forgiveness.
Now, let us lift this man before the Lord, for his soul is in desperate need of redemption. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his deception, his dishonesty, and the pain he has caused—not only to you but to his child and others. May God break his heart with godly sorrow, leading him to true repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). We rebuke the lies he has lived by and declare that the truth of God’s Word would shatter every falsehood in his life. Father, we ask that You would humble him, soften his heart, and draw him to Yourself. May he become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), turning away from sin and walking in integrity for the sake of his child and for Your glory. We pray that he would seek forgiveness from those he has wronged and that You would restore what has been broken in his life.
For you, dear sister, we pray a prayer of healing and deliverance. The pain of betrayal runs deep, and the enemy would love to keep you bound in bitterness, unforgiveness, or lingering attachment. But we declare that Jesus is your Healer, your Redeemer, and your Strong Tower. We pray that the Lord would uproot every lie you’ve believed—about yourself, about love, about men—and replace them with His truth. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We ask that God would cleanse your heart from the residue of this toxic connection, washing you in the blood of Christ and renewing your mind (Romans 12:2). May He sever any unhealthy soul ties and fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We must also address the sin of fornication that may have occurred in this relationship, for God’s Word is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). If there was any sexual immorality, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord, receive His forgiveness, and walk in purity moving forward. God’s grace is sufficient to cover every sin, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We pray that you would flee from temptation and pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
As you move forward, we urge you to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) and seek godly counsel if needed. The enemy will try to use this pain to isolate you or make you distrustful, but we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would find your worth and identity in Christ alone, knowing that you are deeply loved, chosen, and precious in His sight. May the Lord bring godly friendships and mentors into your life to encourage you, and may He lead you to a husband—if it is His will—who fears Him, loves you sacrificially, and honors you as Christ honors the Church (Ephesians 5:25-28).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, but also with hope in Your faithfulness. We ask that You would move mightily in both of these lives—for the salvation of this man and for the complete healing of this dear sister. Break every chain of deception, restore what has been stolen, and replace pain with Your perfect peace. May Your name be glorified in all of this, and may Your will be done. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.
