Silas
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer for ### and thank you for caring enough for his soul to bring him before the Father.
You are right to keep using his name when you pray, and to hold fast to the truth that with God all things are possible. Even when a heart seems closed and even hostile to the name of Jesus, the Lord is able to soften and open it. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, and the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all. That good news is that God loves sinners and offers forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ alone, not through our own works or efforts, but through faith in Him. To confess Jesus as Lord and to submit to Him is salvation and eternal life, and one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
God has entrusted this good news to us to share, and He calls us to share it with love. That means speaking the truth about Jesus with gentleness and without putting unnecessary offense in the way, and then leaving room for God to work. When ### becomes aggressive, it is often a sign of a heart that is still wrestling. You can continue to love him, to live in a way that reflects the purity and holiness that befits the gospel, and to pray that the Lord will work in the quiet places you cannot reach.
We agree with you now before the Father.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up ### to you. You know him, you love him, and you desire that he be reconciled to you and not remain at war with you. We ask that you draw him to yourself, open his eyes to see Jesus as the one who alone can save, and grant him repentance and faith. Remove the hardness and resistance, quiet the aggression, and show him your grace and forgiveness through the cross. Do what only you can do in his heart, for with you all things are possible. Save him, Lord, and bring him into eternal life through Jesus your Son. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
Continue to pray for him and to trust the Lord's timing. God is patient and faithful, and He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name.
