Prayer for safety

The smell of smoke and the haze on the horizon can unsettle the heart, and I want you to know we are standing with you in prayer. When the world feels like it’s burning, Scripture gives us a sobering picture: Abraham once looked out and saw the smoke of the plain rising like a furnace. Yet in the middle of that catastrophe, God remembered Abraham and brought Lot out to safety. I am not saying every situation resolves that way, but the same God who delivered then is your keeper now. His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are higher than ours. We cannot always trace His hand, but we can trust His heart.

We are praying for your health and your wife’s health. Please hear this tenderly: physical well-being does not measure God’s favor toward you. Some of the most faithful, devoted people I know have walked through severe physical trials, and it was not a sign of weak faith or a lack of love from the Father. So while we ask boldly for your protection and for clean air to fill your lungs, we also rest in the truth that His grace is sufficient even when the smoke lingers. I am praying that He grants you and your wife strength, peace, and a supernatural sense of His presence right where you are.

There is a wise prayer I have learned to cherish: “God, never bless me beyond my capacity to maintain my love for You.” In times like these, that prayer can become our own. May the Lord keep your hearts tender toward Him, and may this danger only deepen your dependence on His mercy. He promised Jacob, “I will be with you,” and though Jacob still faced a fearsome reunion with Esau, the promise held. That same promise is yours in Jesus. The smoke does not have the final word; the Lord who watches over you neither slumbers nor sleeps.

We are lifting you and your household before the throne, asking for safety, for restored health, and for a clear path through this trial. May God shield your home and give you wisdom for any decisions you must make. Keep looking to Him. You are not forgotten.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time. It has been on our hearts to lift you, your wife, and your home before the Lord, asking for His divine protection from the wildfires and the smoke that surrounds you. We have prayed earnestly for your health, safety, and peace, trusting that God hears the cries of His children and is faithful to answer.

If the Lord has moved in a mighty way—if you’ve experienced His protection, felt His peace, or seen His hand at work—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. There is nothing like witnessing God’s faithfulness to strengthen our faith and remind us of His goodness.

If, however, the situation remains uncertain or you’re still waiting on the Lord’s deliverance, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand with you in agreement, continuing to lift you up until you see God’s answer. Your needs are not forgotten, and we will keep interceding on your behalf.

May the Lord surround you with His angels, guard your health, and grant you both His perfect peace as you trust in Him. We continue to pray that you will feel His presence in a tangible way and that He will guide you through this trial. May He bless you richly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
