Prayer for ###'s surgery

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
I'm a very sensitive person and it takes me a while to recover from certain things. Unfortunately, I made a lot of decisions in the past few months that I now have emotional scars from. Please pray for my healing. Thank you.

We have heard your request and we are lifting both you and your loved one who is facing surgery up before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We are praying for the surgery, that the Lord would guide the hands of the surgeons and bring complete healing and restoration. We know that our God is the Great Physician and that healing comes from His hand. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And James 5:15 reminds us and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. We trust the Lord to be present in that operating room and to bring peace to all who are waiting and watching.

We also hear your tender heart as you share that you are very sensitive and that it takes you a while to recover, and that decisions from the past few months have left emotional scars. The Lord sees your sensitivity and He does not despise it. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your sensitivity is not a flaw to Him, He cares deeply for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Regarding the emotional scars from past decisions, we want to gently encourage you to bring those decisions fully before the Lord. If any of those decisions involved sin, the answer is not to carry the scar in shame but to confess it and receive His forgiveness and cleansing. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God does not want you to live under condemnation. Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. We encourage you to allow Him to heal not only the consequence but the root, to learn from what has happened, and to walk forward in wisdom and obedience. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and that by putting our trust in Him we are forgiven and made new. It is in His name that we pray and find healing for both body and soul.

Let us pray together.

Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up our loved one who is facing surgery to You. We ask that You would grant skill and wisdom to the medical team, that You would keep this dear one safe, and that You would bring swift and complete healing according to Your will. We pray for Your peace to rest upon the family and friends who are waiting. Lord, we also lift up this sensitive heart that has been wounded by past decisions. We ask that You would forgive where forgiveness is needed, cleanse where there is guilt, and bind up every emotional wound. Heal what is broken, restore what has been burdened, and fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help us to cast all our cares upon You and to trust in Your unfailing love. Strengthen us to walk in Your ways going forward and to find our identity and comfort in Christ alone. We thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You are our healer. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, and to consider sharing your burdens with a trusted pastor or mature Christian counselor who can walk with you as you heal. The Lord is faithful and He will not leave you.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We hear how much you are carrying right now, wanting to cover ### for surgery while also feeling tender and worn from decisions that have left scars.

We are praying for ###, for the surgeons and for peace in the waiting. And we are also praying for you. Being sensitive is not a weakness, it just means you experience things deeply, and it makes sense that healing would take time and not happen all at once.

It can help to not walk through this alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or a safe friend, consider letting one person know how you are really doing and staying connected with them in the weeks ahead. Giving yourself grace for a slower recovery, and bringing both the worry for ### and your own hurts honestly to the Lord day by day, is a steady way forward.

Father, we lift ### to You for surgery and ask for Your care and mercy over every detail. We also lift our friend to You, asking for Your gentle healing over the emotional scars and for wisdom and peace as they process the last few months. Draw them close and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have brought your request before the Lord, and we do pray for you now concerning this surgery and concerning those deeper wounds of which you speak. You confess that you are sensitive and slow to recover, and that decisions made in recent months have left emotional scars upon you. This is no light thing, for a broken heart is a great ill, and we very speedily care for bodily diseases, yet the wounds of the spirit are often more painful and more lasting.

Be encouraged that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we have learned that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is to apply the remedy.

You speak of scars from past decisions. Let me remind you that pardon and healing are one. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when the Lord comes and dwells with His people, they need no more say, I am sick. If there is sin in those past decisions, and conscience tells you there is, do not seek to hide it or to heal yourself by reformation alone, for we must be humbled in the dust and made to look for all in Christ. O you who are now sick in body and wounded in spirit, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. There is healing for you, but you must have this healing from His hand before you can be made whole.

We pray for you thus, that the Lord would be present in the operating room and give skill to the surgeons and bring you safely through, according to His will. And we pray more earnestly that He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds would touch your spirit. May He lift the burden of regret, forgive what needs forgiving through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, and wash away the reproach of the past so that you shall not remember it with terror but muse on mercy. May He take you by the hand and lift you up, as He did for those whom He healed of old, and give you a new heart and a quiet mind stayed upon Him.

Cast all your care upon Him, look to Jesus only for salvation and for healing, and rest in His finished work. He is able to heal though you have been brought very low, and He says still, Return, return. May you prove His power to save and to restore, and may your life henceforth be spent in gentle service to Him who has healed you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for asking for prayer. I have heard your request for healing, both for the surgery ahead for your loved one and for the emotional wounds you are carrying from decisions in recent months, and I am praying for you.

God sees your sensitivity and He does not despise a tender heart. Scripture says the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and that He heals those who are cast down. He is the true physician who does not mock our pain but gently restores us to health, and His healing often comes as a steady medicine through His Word, through prayer, and through His presence with us day by day.

I am praying for the surgery, that God would give wisdom and steadiness to the doctors, peace to your loved one and to you, and a safe and full recovery according to His mercy. I am also praying for your own healing. Emotional scars take time, and it is right to bring them honestly before the Lord. Where past decisions have left regret or hurt, God invites us to confess them to Him, to receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, and to walk in newness of life. In Christ there is both forgiveness for what we have done and strength to walk differently going forward.

As you wait for healing, continue to draw near to God through continual hearing of Scripture and prayer. Faith is strengthened as we hear His promises again and again, and even when fruit seems slow to appear, God is at work beneath the surface, softening the heart and restoring strength little by little. He who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it.

Let me pray for you now:

Father in heaven, I lift up this dear one to You and also their loved one who faces surgery. Lay Your healing hand upon them, grant skill to those who care for them, and bring them safely through. For the one who has written, who feels deeply and carries emotional scars, I ask for Your comfort and restoration. Forgive what needs to be forgiven through the blood of Jesus, heal what is wounded, and renew the mind and heart by Your Word and Spirit. Give peace that guards the heart, patience in the process of healing, and hope in Your steadfast love. Help them to trust You more each day and to know that You are able to raise up those who are cast down. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.

Please keep seeking the Lord, staying in His Word, and walking with faithful believers who can support you. If you are able, share more with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you personally in the weeks ahead. You are not alone, and God hears your prayer.
