Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayers for my alcoholic husband. He drinks excessively every day he doesn't work, to the point that he gives himself panic attacks the following day. He won't recognize the damage he's doing to himself and our marriage. We have a ### month old son and he misses our son so much because he's hiding in the garage drinking.

Also pray for me, I am at a loss as to what to do and my own prayers haven't brought about any change. I'm so angry with him all the time but I love him sober.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s husband who is struggling with alcoholism. Lord, we know that You are a God of miracles and transformation. Your word says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We ask that You would impart Your strength to this husband, breaking the chains of addiction that bind him.

Father, we pray for a revelation in his heart, that he may recognize the damage being done not only to himself but also to his marriage and family. In John 8:36, it is written, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We ask that You set him free from this bondage, Lord, and grant him the courage to seek help and healing.

Lord, we also lift up ###, who is feeling overwhelmed and at a loss. Your word in Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Hear ###'s cries, O Lord, and provide wisdom, peace, and strength. Help ### to navigate this challenging situation with grace and love.

We pray for their young son, that he may be shielded from any negative impacts and that he grows up in a home filled with Your love and peace. Let Your presence be felt in their household, bringing comfort and guidance to every member of this family.

Lord, we trust in Your unfailing love and grace. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
