We lift up this dear brother before the Lord, knowing that our God is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. It is only through the mighty name of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful for the privilege to intercede on behalf of this man facing surgery. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise today, trusting in God’s mercy and power.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."* Though this surgery may seem daunting, our God is greater than any illness or fear. We pray for the surgeons and medical staff attending to this brother, that the Lord would guide their hands with precision, wisdom, and skill. May every decision made during this procedure be directed by the Holy Spirit, and may the cancer be completely removed, leaving no trace behind.
For this brother, we ask for supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May he feel the presence of the Lord with him in that operating room, knowing that he is not alone—Jesus is there, holding him in His loving arms.
We also pray for his full and swift recovery. May his body respond well to the treatment, and may his strength be renewed day by day, as Isaiah 40:31 declares, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Let this season of healing be a testimony of God’s faithfulness, drawing him—and all who witness his recovery—closer to the Savior.
If this brother does not yet know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we urge him to turn to Him now. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father. We pray that if he has not already, he would surrender his life to Jesus, repenting of his sins and trusting in Him alone for salvation. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Father, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your healing touch upon this brother. Remove every cancerous cell from his body and restore him to full health. Give him courage, faith, and patience during this time. Surround him with Your love and the support of Your people. We rebuke any fear, doubt, or anxiety in the name of Jesus, declaring that You are his Healer and his Strength. May this trial be used for Your glory, and may he emerge from it with a deeper trust in You.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
