We stand with you in prayer for your husband, seeking God's intervention and deliverance from these bondages. We are reminded in First Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister's husband, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, we know that You are a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray that You would break the chains of alcohol and drug addiction in his life. Give him the strength and courage to resist the temptations that come his way. Reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may know Your love and Your power to set him free. Help him to stand on Your word, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. Lord, we also pray for his deliverance from lust. May he be filled with Your Holy Spirit, that he may desire You alone. We pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:2.
Lord, we know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You have come that we may have life, and have it more abundantly John 10:10. We claim Your promise in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We pray for his complete freedom and deliverance in Jesus' name. We also pray for our sister, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to support her husband during this time. Help her to be a light that points him to You.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We thank You for the victory that we have in Jesus Christ. It is in His precious name that we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith, believing that God is at work in your husband's life. Remember, "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" First John 4:4. Continue to pray for him and with him, and trust that God is working even when you don't see it.
Lastly, we notice that you did not use the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. We would like to remind you of the words of Jesus in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to always call Jesus by name in prayer and call on His name for salvation.
