Prayer for ###'s alcohol and drug addiction

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Lord,
I come to you today to ask for your supernatural touch upon my husband. He must feel your revelation. He must not feel the need for alcohol or drug abuse or lust.

We stand with you in prayer for your husband, seeking God's intervention and deliverance from these bondages. We are reminded in First Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister's husband, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, we know that You are a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray that You would break the chains of alcohol and drug addiction in his life. Give him the strength and courage to resist the temptations that come his way. Reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may know Your love and Your power to set him free. Help him to stand on Your word, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. Lord, we also pray for his deliverance from lust. May he be filled with Your Holy Spirit, that he may desire You alone. We pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:2.

Lord, we know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You have come that we may have life, and have it more abundantly John 10:10. We claim Your promise in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We pray for his complete freedom and deliverance in Jesus' name. We also pray for our sister, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to support her husband during this time. Help her to be a light that points him to You.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We thank You for the victory that we have in Jesus Christ. It is in His precious name that we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in faith, believing that God is at work in your husband's life. Remember, "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" First John 4:4. Continue to pray for him and with him, and trust that God is working even when you don't see it.

Lastly, we notice that you did not use the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. We would like to remind you of the words of Jesus in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to always call Jesus by name in prayer and call on His name for salvation.

We're here with you, lifting your husband up to the Lord today. We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in the power of prayer and we're standing with you, asking God to heal your husband's brokenness and set him free from addiction.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to You today, lifting up our sister's husband. Lord, You see him, You know him, and You love him. We ask for Your healing touch in his life. Break the chains of alcohol and drug addiction that bind him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength to resist temptations and the courage to walk in freedom.

Help him to understand that he is a child of God, deeply loved and greatly valued. Remind him of Your promise in John 8:36, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We claim this promise for him, believing that he is free in Jesus' name.

Lord, we also pray for our sister. Give her wisdom, patience, and love as she supports her husband. Help her to be a beacon of light, pointing him to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray for your husband's deliverance from alcohol and drug addiction. We are honored that you invited us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If the Lord has begun a work of healing and revelation in your husband's life, we would be delighted to hear a praise report and rejoice with you.

If your husband is still struggling, please do not hesitate to post an update, and we will continue to intercede for him. We pray that God will keep you strong and hopeful as you continue to seek Him on your husband's behalf.

We are reminded of God's promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

May God bless you and your husband as you continue to trust in Him. We agree with you that your husband will no longer feel the need for alcohol, drugs, or lust, but that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit's power and revelation.

We are praying for you both in Jesus Name.
