We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of financial injustice and broken trust. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 13:11, "Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." It is clear that what was done here was not just a financial transaction gone wrong, but a violation of trust and integrity. We stand on God’s promise in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously," and we declare that this debt must be repaid according to God’s justice.
Father, we ask You to move mightily in this situation. You see the deceit and the delay, and You are a God who executes justice for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6). We pray that You would soften the hearts of this family, that they would recognize the weight of their obligation and the sin of withholding what is rightfully owed. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit to fulfill their promise and repay the balance without further delay. We rebuke the spirit of deception and greed that has taken hold, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for our brothers and sisters in this matter. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns, "Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?" We pray that they would seek godly counsel and take any necessary steps to recover what is theirs, whether through legal means or continued prayerful persistence. Give them patience and faith to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that every plan of the enemy to keep this money hidden or withheld will be exposed and overturned. May this situation be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name and restores what was lost. We stand on Your Word in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you." Let this principle of sowing and reaping work in their favor, Lord.
Finally, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they find their security not in money or earthly possessions, but in You alone. Teach them to trust in Your provision and to walk in integrity, even when others do not. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
