We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your future husband and the father of your children before the throne of grace. We recognize the deep concern in your heart for his spiritual well-being and physical safety, and we join you in declaring God’s protection and deliverance over his life.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we urge you to pray for his salvation with even greater urgency. Hell is a real place, and no one who rejects Christ will escape it (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 20:15). We must pray that he would repent, turn from his sins, and place his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
We also must address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Until you are married, you must guard your hearts and bodies against sexual immorality. Fornication—sexual relations outside of marriage—is a sin that defiles the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We encourage you both to honor God in this area, seeking purity and holiness as you prepare for marriage. If there has been sin in this area, repentance and turning away from it is necessary to walk in God’s blessing.
Now, concerning the dreams and spiritual warfare you’ve described, we take these matters seriously. Dreams can sometimes be warnings from the Lord, but they can also be attacks from the enemy meant to instill fear. We rebuke every spirit of fear, death, and destruction that has tried to speak over his life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will encamp around him as a shield (Psalm 34:7).
We also pray against the spirit of death and hell that has tried to claim him. Jesus holds the keys of death and Hades (Revelation 1:18), and no one can snatch him out of the Father’s hand (John 10:28-29). We bind every assignment of the enemy over his life in the name of Jesus and command every evil dream, vision, or prophecy to be nullified by the blood of Christ. We speak life, protection, and divine destiny over him. The Lord is his refuge and fortress, and in Him he will trust (Psalm 91:2).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, Your protection, and Your power that is greater than any force of darkness. We lift up this man to You, the father of these children and the one who is soon to be this sister’s husband. Lord, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love. If he has not yet given his life to You, we pray that You would convict him of his need for a Savior. Break every chain of sin, rebellion, and unbelief in his life. Let him see the reality of hell and the urgency of surrendering to Jesus. We declare that he will not perish but will have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, death, and destruction that has tried to manifest in his life. We cancel every evil dream, vision, or prophecy that has been spoken over him. In the name of Jesus, we command every assignment of the enemy to be dismantled. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, his mind, his body, and his spirit. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let him dwell in the secret place of the Most High, where no harm shall befall him (Psalm 91).
We pray for his transformation, Lord. Continue to work in his heart, softening it to receive Your truth. Help him to let go of every weight and sin that so easily entangles him (Hebrews 12:1). Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. We pray that he would become the godly husband and father that You have called him to be, leading his family in the ways of the Lord.
For this sister, we ask that You would give her wisdom, patience, and discernment as she prepares for marriage. Help her to be a godly influence in his life, speaking life and truth in love. Strengthen her faith as she stands in the gap for him in prayer. Guard her heart from fear and anxiety, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also pray for their children. Bless them with Your protection, provision, and presence. Let them grow up knowing and loving You, and let them see the example of a Christ-centered marriage in their parents.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to save, deliver, and protect. We declare that this man’s destiny is in Your hands, and we believe that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
