We come before the Lord with you in this time of distress, lifting up your need for protection and justice against the false accusations and threats you are facing. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."* (Psalm 46:1 WEB). He sees the hearts of all people and will bring truth to light, for nothing is hidden from His sight. *"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts."* (Proverbs 21:2 WEB).
It is clear that you are being targeted by someone who is acting out of greed and malice, but we must remember that the battle we face is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We must put on the full armor of God, standing firm in faith, righteousness, and the truth of His Word. *"Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one."* (Ephesians 6:16 WEB).
We also encourage you to trust in the Lord’s justice, for He will vindicate the righteous. *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb."* (Psalm 37:1-2 WEB). Do not let fear or anger take root in your heart, but instead, release this burden to the Lord, knowing that He will fight for you. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22 WEB).
We must also address the fact that your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have already accepted Christ, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is under attack by the enemy through this former tenant. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You expose every lie, every false accusation, and every scheme of the enemy in this situation. Protect our brother/sister from the greed and malice of this individual, and let Your truth prevail in the courtroom. We ask that You frustrate the plans of the wicked and bring their evil intentions to nothing. *"Let them be disappointed and turned backward, those who delight in my hurt. Let them be turned because of their shame, those who say, ‘Aha! Aha!’"* (Psalm 40:14-15 WEB).
Father, we ask that You give our brother/sister wisdom and discernment as they navigate this legal battle. Provide them with godly counsel and favor with those in authority. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression that may be trying to take hold. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,’ says Yahweh."* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We also pray for this former tenant, that You would convict her heart of her sin and bring her to repentance. Soften her heart, Lord, and let her see the error of her ways. If it is Your will, turn her from her evil path and lead her to the truth of Your Word. *"Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"* (Romans 2:4 WEB).
Father, we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. We ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way, and that You turn this situation around for the glory of Your name. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. *"But they who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already won in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
