Prayer for problem and love

Humble Prayer Warrior
Praise God and Jesus for everything in my life right now. Everything is starting to go as planned - even better than I could've ever imagined. There is one more thing I feel I've never gotten straight with God. I am coming here not only so that you can pray for me, but also because it seems like my prayers have always been immediately answered after I came on here, and I think that's because I let myself be humble and confess everything truly when I am asking for your help in prayer. Please pray for my lustful thoughts. I do not have them while I am alert, but when I fall asleep or am in a more sleepy state I get very weird uncontrollable visions. That said, I have never had a partner in my life despite the fact that I've been battling these thoughts for years now. I've had them since I was ###-### years old so I really don't know what the cause is or how I could've prevented this. I wish to also meet a trustworthy and godly partner that would help me feel less lonely. There is one person in particular that I would like to get again in contact with, please pray that if that is the case, it will happen, or if it is not, that I forget about him. I just don't know what to do in this situation. But God always comes through and I am sure he will this time as well. I just really need some immediate clarity because I feel that I am wasting my time thinking about what to do. Praise be to God and Jesus once again! Praying for you too 🙏

We rejoice with you in praising our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for the blessings and victories in your life! It is wonderful to hear how God is moving mightily on your behalf, answering prayers and aligning things even better than you imagined. Your humility in seeking prayer and confessing your struggles is a testament to your heart for God, and we are grateful to stand with you in this.

First, let us address the lustful thoughts and visions you experience. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* Though these thoughts come unbidden, especially in a sleepy or vulnerable state, we must remember that our minds are battlegrounds, and the enemy seeks to exploit even the smallest openings. However, we are not powerless—God has given us authority through Christ to resist. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:5, *"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* This is not a battle you must face alone. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will strengthen you as you submit these struggles to Him.

We encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture, especially before sleep. Meditate on passages like Philippians 4:8: *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* Pray aloud, declaring God’s Word over your mind and heart. Ask the Lord to guard your thoughts and to cleanse your mind from impurities. If these visions persist, consider fasting and seeking deeper prayer coverage from mature believers who can stand with you in spiritual warfare.

Now, regarding your desire for a godly spouse, we affirm your longing for companionship, for God Himself said in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."* However, we must be cautious in our approach. You mentioned reconnecting with a specific person, and while we pray for God’s will to be done in this, we must also remind you that a godly marriage is built on a foundation of shared faith in Christ, mutual submission to His Word, and a commitment to purity. If this person is not a believer or does not walk in obedience to God’s design for relationships, then pursuing them would not be wise. As 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* We pray that if this connection is of God, He will restore it in His perfect timing and way. But if it is not, we ask that He removes this desire from your heart and replaces it with a godly contentment as you trust in Him.

We also sense a need to address something critical: you mentioned never having had a "partner," and we want to clarify that outside of marriage, any physical or romantic relationship is not God’s design. The Bible is clear that intimacy is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4). If you have entertained thoughts of pursuing a relationship outside of this biblical framework—even emotionally—we urge you to repent and realign your desires with God’s Word. Courtship, if pursued, should be with the intent of marriage and should honor God in every way, avoiding the traps of emotional or physical compromise.

Finally, your mention of needing "immediate clarity" reveals an impatience that we all struggle with at times. But God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead of rushing, seek His peace, which surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even in the waiting.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for the incredible work You are doing in this dear one’s life. Lord, we praise You for Your faithfulness and for the victories You have already granted. We lift up the struggle with lustful thoughts and visions, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Cleanse their mind, Lord, and renew it by the power of Your Word. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have the strength to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Break every stronghold of the enemy and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we pray for their desire for a godly spouse. If it is Your will to reconnect them with this person, let it be done in a way that honors You and aligns with Your Word. But if this is not Your plan, remove this longing and replace it with trust in Your perfect timing. Prepare them, Lord, for the spouse You have ordained, and let them walk in purity and patience as they wait. Surround them with godly counsel and community that will encourage them in this season.

We rebuke any spirit of impatience or anxiety and declare Your peace over them. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are sovereign and that You hold their future. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them find their satisfaction in You alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. Keep seeking God’s face, and He will guide your steps. We are here to support you in prayer and truth. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Dear friend, we join you in praising God for the blessings and victories in your life. It's wonderful to see how He is moving mightily on your behalf, answering prayers, and aligning things even better than you imagined. Your humility in seeking prayer and confessing your struggles is a testament to your heart for God, and we are grateful to stand with you in this.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face and trusting in His perfect timing. As it says in Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, in his thoughts." Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even in the waiting.

Regarding your lustful thoughts and visions, we want to remind you that God is faithful and will help you overcome. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, it says, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Keep seeking God's face, and ask Him to help you resist these thoughts and to fill your mind with His Word.

We also want to encourage you to keep pursuing a godly spouse. It's great that you have someone in mind, but remember that a godly marriage is built on a foundation of shared faith in Christ, mutual submission to His Word, and a commitment to purity. If this person is not a believer or does not walk in obedience to God's design for relationships, then pursuing them may not be wise. Trust that God has a plan, and He will work all things together for your good.

Finally, we want to remind you that God's timing is perfect. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, it says, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Trust that God knows what He is doing, and He will reveal His plan in His perfect timing.

Let's pray together:
