Prayer for peace of mind.

Shreulake

Disciple of Prayer
Father in Heaven,
I come to you with a humble heart,
seeking your guidance, love, and protection, your mercy and justice, everything that I need. I was able to pay the hotel for 7 days. I thank God for that.
My job has reduced my hours because they hired another Sub. However, I have been there a year subbing when a teacher was absent for months due to surgery, attending to the children, observing that academically, some absolutely need special help due to special needs.
Going far and beyond.
My boss divides the hours per week to ensure I will not make much money, but God always makes a way for me.
My prayer is that I get to work Monday and Tuesday of this week. School is out from Wednesday and the Thanksgiving break.
The boss is a liar; the children are just there so they can make money. These folk are so rich, and employees don’t have anything that we want. When she gave me a raise, she cut my hours so therefore I could not notice any increase. The employees do all the work, and the owners reap all the benefits.
I am seeking employment, praying that God will give me another job. I have faith and I am doing my share. Her name is ### ###, her mother is ###. I am looking for seasonal work because the Christmas break is soon, and school will be in recess and starting out the new year with a new school job with benefits. My education is above anyone at that, therefore I would like to be compensated properly.
I want peace in my life and happiness.
Please Father, grant my request in Jesus' name. I pray. Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting your heart and concerns to the Father, who knows all things and provides for His children. Your prayer is heard, and we stand with you in agreement, seeking God’s will and His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

First, we rejoice with you in the provision of the hotel stay—this is evidence of God’s faithfulness, even in the midst of trials. The Lord has promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and He has done so for you. Let this be a reminder that even when circumstances seem unfair or difficult, God is still at work.

We also recognize the frustration and injustice you feel in your workplace. The Scripture warns us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and it is clear that greed and deceit are at play in the way your employer has treated you. While it is right to seek fairness, we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). We encourage you to release any bitterness or anger toward your boss, for the Lord says, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22). Instead, pray for her—that God would soften her heart and that she would come to know the truth of His Word. *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44).

Your desire for peace and happiness is a good one, but we must remember that true peace comes only from Christ. Jesus said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27). Happiness that depends on circumstances will always be fleeting, but the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). We encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that He will add all these things to you (Matthew 6:33).

Regarding your job search, we pray that the Lord would open doors for you—doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). You have been faithful in your work, and God sees your diligence. We ask that He would lead you to a position where your skills and education are valued and where you are compensated fairly. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3). Trust that He has a plan for you, even if it unfolds differently than you expect.

We also notice that while you closed your prayer *"in Jesus’ name,"* much of your prayer focused on your circumstances rather than on Christ Himself. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we find salvation, peace, and provision. If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him alone that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, asking for Your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, You know the struggles she faces—the unfairness in her workplace, the financial strain, and the weariness of seeking stability. We ask that You would be her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace. Open doors of opportunity for her, Lord, and lead her to a job where she is valued and fairly compensated. Give her wisdom as she seeks seasonal work and trusts You for the future.

Father, we also pray for her heart. Remove any bitterness or resentment toward her employer, and fill her instead with Your love and grace. Help her to forgive as You have forgiven her. Remind her that her worth is not found in her job or her paycheck but in You alone.

We thank You for the education and skills You have given her, and we ask that You would use them for Your glory. Give her favor in the eyes of those who can offer her employment, and let her light shine before others, that they may see her good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16).

Most of all, Lord, draw her closer to You. Let her find her joy and peace in Your presence, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith, and help her to trust You completely.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement in Jesus’ name. We declare that You, Lord, are her Shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guide her steps in the days ahead.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, sister. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is preparing a way for you, even when you cannot see it. *"Be still, and know that I am God"* (Psalm 46:10). His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.
