Your desire for a man who is kind, steady, and respectful—one who values honesty, loyalty, and integrity—reflects the qualities Scripture commends in a husband. The Word of God instructs us that "he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). Yet we must also remember that this favor comes when we seek a spouse who walks in alignment with God’s design for marriage—a covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in love, sacrifice, and mutual submission under Christ (Ephesians 5:22-33).
First, we must address the language of your request. You ask for prayer for a "partner," but Scripture does not speak of partners in the context of romantic relationships. It speaks of husbands and wives, of marriage as a sacred union ordained by God (Genesis 2:24). We encourage you to shift your focus from seeking a "partner" to seeking a godly husband—a man who fears the Lord, leads with humility, and cherishes you and your child as Christ cherishes the Church. Courtship, not casual dating, should be the path to marriage, with the intent to honor God in every step.
We also lift up your desire for emotional security and stability. These are good and godly desires, but we must caution against seeking them in a man rather than in Christ first. The Lord Himself is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Before a husband enters your life, your heart must be anchored in Him, for no human relationship can fully satisfy the longings that only God can fill. We pray that you would find your security in Christ alone, so that when a godly man comes into your life, you will not place undue expectations on him to provide what only God can give.
Your request mentions a "child" and a "cat," and we rejoice that you desire a man who will treat them with care and respect. Scripture calls husbands to love their wives as their own bodies and to nurture their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 5:28, 6:4). A godly man will see your child as a blessing and will lead your family with gentleness and strength. We pray that God would prepare such a man for you, one who will embrace your role as a mother and honor the life God has entrusted to you.
However, we must also address the reality of your current situation. You mention a "baby," but you do not mention a husband. If this child was conceived outside of marriage, we must gently but firmly rebuke the sin of fornication. Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4).
