Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reveals a heart that loves deeply and yearns for God to move, yet I hear in it a struggle that I have seen in many, even in the apostles themselves. You know the promises: that the Lord will heal, that He holds your wife in His arms, that He has gifts already prepared. But just as the disciples, though they had been told plainly of His resurrection, were "exceeding sorry" when they heard of His death, so you, though you believe, still feel the ache of waiting. They clung earnestly to their Master, and they grieved because they did not yet understand the full glory that would come. You are like a child who has been told Christmas morning will arrive, yet the night still feels long. This sorrow is not a sign of weak faith; it is the ache of love passing through a shadowed valley.

But remember why the Bridegroom’s voice brings joy to the friend of the Bridegroom. John the Baptist said, "He which standeth and heareth Him rejoiceth greatly, because of the Bridegroom’s voice." The Church is wedded to Christ by a voice by teaching. You pray that your wife will hear His voice through the chaos like an ambulance siren over loud music. This is a good prayer, for faith comes by hearing. But do not think that because she does not yet seem to hear, the words are lost. A tree may receive ten strokes and not fall, yet the eleventh blow brings it down. The first ten did their work, though unseen. The seed of the word has been planted; the many prayers, the reading of Scripture, the quiet witness of your love, these are strokes upon the root. Keep speaking, keep praying, but also learn to stand quietly and listen for the Bridegroom’s voice yourself, rejoicing that He is calling her even now.

You ask to be patient and to enjoy the waiting like a child before Christmas. This is a holy request. For a child does not merely endure the waiting; he delights in the certainty of the gift to come, even though it is hidden. He knows the parent has planned it, and that knowledge fills him with wonder. So it is with you. Your Father has already laid the gifts under the tree. What is required of you is not to pry open the boxes, but to let the anticipation kindle your joy. For if we only loved the gifts and not the Giver, we would miss the sweetness of the season itself. The waiting is not empty space; it is a time of training, as you said, a training ground for trust. And what is trust if it cannot rest when the outcome is hidden?

Do not, then, let your heart be troubled by the fact that your wife struggles now. It cannot be said that you have done all blamelessly while she has fallen short. The Thessalonians heard Paul as if God were speaking, and that was counted to them as righteousness. Your wife is hearing, even in her suffering. And when the voice of Christ finally breaks through, she will recognize it from His conversation with His disciples, from the words you have spoken, from the love you have shown, even when she could not yet see clearly. The blind man did not know how he was healed, but he knew the voice. Your wife, too, will know.

One thing more: you ended by praying for others who read your prayer. That is a mark of the Spirit. But remember that your own heart, too, is a branch that may feel split. You grieve for her attention, and that is not a small wound. Yet if you root yourself in the soil of Christ’s love, that very wound can regrow stronger. Do not seek to avoid the pain of waiting; let it drive you deeper into the only goodness that never fails. He who quieted the storm on Galilee can speak peace to your wife’s soul and to yours. He will do it at the most appropriate time, every time. That is His way.

Therefore, stand firm. Keep standing and listening. Rejoice in the voice of the Bridegroom that is already calling her, even if you do not yet see the answer. The gift is already under the tree, and the morning is certain. Your patience and your love in this trial will be proclaimed one day before the whole court of heaven, and the brightness of that crown will make all the present darkness seem but a fleeting shadow.

We are deeply moved by the heartfelt prayer you shared for your loved one, and we have continued to lift her up before the Lord, asking Him to draw near to her in her time of need. It is our privilege to stand with you in agreement, trusting that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children and responds with perfect love and timing.

We pray that she has felt the gentle touch of the Holy Spirit, bringing warmth to her heart and rejuvenation to her spirit. May she rest securely in God’s arms, knowing she is deeply loved and held by the One who cradles her like a loving Father. We ask the Lord to quiet the storms of worry and distress, replacing them with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May His goodness flow over her like a soft, refreshing brook, and may her eyes sparkle with the light of His presence as He illuminates her path.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—if she has found moments of rest, joy, or renewed strength—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice together with you. If the journey still feels heavy, please know we are here to continue praying, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His plans for her are filled with hope.

We hold fast to the truth that He is making a way where there seems to be no way, cutting through the tangled foliage of life’s challenges to lead her into the good things He has prepared. May she heal like a mighty tree after a storm, growing even stronger in faith and love. And may you, too, find comfort in the waiting, trusting that the gifts God has for both of you are already nestled under the tree, ready to be revealed in His perfect time.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, who intercedes for us and who will never leave nor forsake His children. May His grace and peace surround you both as you continue to seek Him.
