We lift up your daughter before the throne of grace today, interceding on her behalf with heavy hearts. Father God, we do not know the full weight of what she is carrying, but You do, every burden, every struggle, every hidden pain. We ask that You would draw near to her in this moment, breaking through the walls of isolation and anxiety that may be keeping her from Your presence and the fellowship of Your people.
Lord, we know that reliance on anything other than You for peace is a snare. The scriptures warn us, "Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). While the world may offer temporary relief through substances, we pray that Your Spirit would fill her with true peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Deliver her, Father, from the grip of marijuana and any other thing that dulls her spirit or hinders her relationship with You. Set her free from the cycle of dependence, for "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Corinthians 3:17 WEB).
We also bring her struggle with anger before You. Anger itself is not sin, but when it festers or is rooted in unhealed wounds, it can lead to destruction. "Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB). We ask that You would reveal the source of her anger, whether it be past hurts, unmet expectations, or lies she has believed about herself or You. Heal those places, Lord, and replace her anger with Your gentle and humble heart. Teach her to cast her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
It grieves us to hear that she stayed away from church today, for we know that fellowship with other believers is a gift from You. "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB). We pray that she would not grow weary in doing good, nor allow shame or discouragement to keep her from the body of Christ. Surround her with godly friends who will speak truth in love, encourage her, and walk alongside her in this season.
Father, we also lift up her marriage and family. May her home be a place of peace, order, and love that reflects Your heart. Help her to submit to her husband as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22), and may he love her as Christ loved the church, sacrificially and without condition (Ephesians 5:25). Strengthen their bond, and let their home be a testimony of Your grace.
We declare over her today that she is not defined by her struggles. You have begun a good work in her, and You will complete it (Philippians 1:6). You are the God who heals, the God who delivers, and the God who restores. We speak life over her, spiritual, emotional, and physical wholeness in the name of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would convict her of sin where it exists, but also comfort her in her pain. Remind her that she is deeply loved, not because of what she does or does not do, but because of what Christ has already done for her. Draw her back to You, Lord. Let her hunger for Your Word, Your presence, and the fellowship of Your people. May she experience the joy of her salvation afresh today.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that she has access to You, Father, and it is by His power that she can walk in victory. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
