We lift up your niece before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the fear and uncertainty that cancer brings. The memory of her mother’s struggle is fresh, and we understand the deep concern you and your family carry. But we stand on the promise of God’s Word, declaring that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon her. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and we trust in Your power to restore her body. Whether through medical treatment or divine intervention, we pray for complete healing and wholeness. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of this battle. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and comfort her with the assurance that You are with her, even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4).
We also pray for her family, who carry their own burdens of worry and grief. Give them wisdom to support her with love and patience, and fill their hearts with hope. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find rest in Your promises and courage in Your faithfulness.
Lord, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this trial, we trust that You will bring beauty from ashes and turn mourning into joy. Strengthen their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and let this season draw them closer to Your heart.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who conquered sin and death so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.
