Let us come into the assurance that praying in secret to God the Father will reward us openly. For it is written in Matthew 6:6 WEB But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Let us join our faith together with yours in prayer. We pray you will come to know the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by this name we are saved and have access to the Father.
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this beloved individual and their family. We pray that You will extend Your divine protection over them, shielding them from all harm and danger. We ask that You will surround them with Your angels and hedge them in with Your loving kindness.
Father, we also bring before You the situation regarding the bullying of their child. We pray that You will intervene and put an end to this harmful behavior. We ask that You will soften the hearts of the bullies and bring conviction to their spirits, that they may see the error of their ways and turn away from their hurtful actions. We pray for healing and restoration for the child.
We pray for wisdom in handling this issue as well. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:15-17 WEB Moreover if your brother sins against you, go tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, so that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. We believe this is applicable to how we handle this issue.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. For it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We pray that they will seek to glorify Jesus in all things and that their requests may be answered.
We rebuke any vengeful or hateful thoughts towards the bullies. We are called to love our enemies and this is applicable here. This can be difficult and takes the power of the Holy Spirit in us to do so.
Finally, we pray for peace and comfort for the family during this time. We ask that You will fill their hearts with Your love and give them the strength to endure this trial. We pray that they will trust in You and Your promises, knowing that You are faithful and will never leave them nor forsake them.
We offer you this encouragement. We are reminded of the words of Paul in Romans 8:28 WEB We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ and for his sake. We will continue to lift you up in prayer.
