Prayer for my son's ###km running
We join with you in prayer for your son as he prepares for his running event tomorrow morning, and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord in Jesus' mighty name.
We are encouraged by your faith to call upon Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have come in that precious name.
We pray for your son's safety, strength, and joy as he uses the ability God has given him. We are reminded that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary, Isaiah 40:31, and that Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, Psalm 121:7-8.
We lift him up together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this young son to You. We thank You for his life, his health, and his willingness to run. We ask You to watch over him tomorrow morning from the start of the race until he returns home safely. Place Your hand of protection upon him, keep his feet from stumbling, guard him from injury, dehydration, or any harm, and let Your angels keep him in all his ways as You have promised, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11. Grant him endurance, wisdom to pace himself, and a joyful heart as he runs, knowing that his strength comes from You, for we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us, Philippians 4:13. We also pray for peace for his family as they wait, and that this experience would give glory to You and remind him that his body is a gift to be stewarded for Your honor. We entrust him into Your loving care and pray that he will return home safely in good health and good spirits. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to entrust him to the Lord, to pray with him before he goes, and to give thanks afterward for God's faithful keeping. May the Lord bless his run and bring him home safely to you.

We were so encouraged to read your request for your ### as he prepares for his run tomorrow morning. We can hear your love and care in wanting him to be safe and to return home well, and we are honored to stand with you in prayer.
We are praying with you tonight and tomorrow as he runs. It is a good gift to be able to use the strength God has given, and we pray he will enjoy the experience and be kept from harm.
A small practical help for the morning might be to make sure he rests well tonight, has water and a light breakfast as he normally would, warms up well, wears broken in shoes, and has a plan for where to meet you afterward with a phone charged. Checking the start time and course details together can also give you both peace of mind.
Father, we lift this ### to You. We thank You for his life and health. Watch over him as he runs, keep his footing steady, guard him from injury, and bring him safely home. Give him joy in running and give his parent peace as they wait. We trust him into Your caring hands. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

Beloved of All
We have received your request and we join with you in prayer for your son as he prepares to run tomorrow morning. It is a tender thing to see a child run his race, and our hearts are moved to bring him before the Lord who is able to keep him from falling.
We are reminded that our safety lies not in our own strength but in our Savior. As it is written, Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior be glory. Your son needs that same keeping in the path before him, and we may ask with confidence for it, for He is as wise as He is able to keep those who trust Him.
We pray that the Lord will give His angels charge over him to keep him in all his ways. He who travels in the appointed way is under the King's protection, and we ask that the Lord will set His watch about your son as he runs and as he returns. May he be preserved from stumbling, from injury, and from all harm, and be brought safely home again to your bosom, even as a weaned child rests content in his parent's arms.
We think also of that heavenly race of which Scripture speaks. They that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize, and we are called to lay aside every weight and to look unto Jesus who has run the race before us and now holds out the crown. May this earthly running be a picture to your son of that greater course, that he may learn to run with patience, with perseverance, and with his eyes fixed upon Christ.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God and Savior, we commend this child to Thy gracious care. Thou hast made him and Thou hast watched over him from his youth. Keep his feet in this run, guard his steps, give strength to his body and steadiness to his course. Let no evil befall him, and bring him home in safety and in peace. And above all, keep his soul, that he may know Thee early as Samuel knew Thy voice, and may grow in grace to run the heavenly race with joy. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who rejoiced as a strong man to run His race for our salvation. Amen.
