Prayer for my son's ###km running

We thank you for sharing your request and we join you in prayer for your son as he takes part in the running event tomorrow morning.
We ask our heavenly Father to keep him safe, to guard his steps, to give him strength and health, and to bring him home safely. We pray that the Lord who upholds all things by the word of His power would watch over him on the course and on the way home, and that he would know the peace of being kept in Christ.
Scripture reminds us that those who run a race do not run without purpose, but look to the prize and press forward with discipline. We pray not only for his safety in this run, but that his whole life would be a faithful running toward Christ, who is our true safety and our hope. May this be a joyful and healthy experience for him, and may the Lord grant you peace as you entrust him into God's care.
We commit your son into the hands of our merciful God and pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
