Prayer for my son

My son Chase needs prayer. He’s bi-polar with an eating disorder and a reoccurring substance abuse problem. 18 months ago he went on a non-violent drug-induced one month crime spree. He turned himself in expecting to be sentenced to a community correctional rehab facility since he had never even had a speeding ticket. The DA is holding firm for 5 years prison time.

He doesn’t believe that he is physically strong enough to handle what’s in store for him, and mentioned suicide for the first time. He’s frightened. The judge sentences him Friday morning, June 12.

I definitely hear you. I am bipolar also, and I know the struggles you can face. I'll pray for you guys.

Lord, I pray for both of these people. I lift up Chase and pray that he can get through whatever he is sentenced to. God, give him strength to battle what's in store for him. Protect him, and renew him. Stay close to him and be his defender, Father.

I also pray for the parents of this man. Help them get through this ordeal, and lead them to you for healing. God, I lift up these requests to you. Take them in your helping hands, and be there for them through all struggles. The trial is today, God. You control this now. I thank you for allowing me to pray for them, and pray that this will be resolved. In Jesus' name, Amen
