Trust also in him, and he will do this,"* so we encourage your son to continue trusting the Lord fully, even as he seeks justice in this matter.
At the same time, we must consider whether there are any areas in your son’s life that need alignment with God’s Word. Is he walking in obedience to Christ? Is he actively living out his faith in a way that reflects **1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB)**, which says, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."* If so, we pray the Lord strengthens him in every way to be the father his son needs—spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
We also recognize that custody battles can be filled with bitterness and strife, but the Lord calls us to a higher standard. **Romans 12:18 (WEB)** tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* If there is any unresolved conflict with the child’s mother or others involved, we pray for reconciliation where possible, and for your son to walk in wisdom, grace, and humility throughout this process.
Most importantly, we notice that while you addressed this prayer to the "Dear Heavenly Father," you did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** reminds us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. If your son—or anyone in your family—has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the source of true hope and victory.
