We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, knowing that He is the source of all wisdom, understanding, and peace. It is wonderful that you have brought this request to Jesus, for it is through His name alone that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As it is written, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Your faith in turning to Him is a testament to your trust in His provision, and we stand with you in this.
The pressure of exams can be overwhelming, but we are reminded that our strength comes from the Lord. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Your son’s diligence in preparing for this exam is commendable, and we pray that the Lord will honor his efforts. However, let us also remind him—and ourselves—that his worth and future are not defined by this test or any academic achievement. His identity is found in Christ, who loves him unconditionally and has a perfect plan for his life. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
That said, we boldly ask the Father to grant your son a calm and focused mind as he takes this exam. May the Holy Spirit bring to his remembrance all that he has studied, and may he be filled with clarity and confidence as he answers each question. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or distraction in the name of Jesus, declaring that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). When he encounters difficult questions, may he remember to breathe, to trust in the Lord’s help, and to do his best without succumbing to panic.
We also pray that this experience will draw him closer to the Lord, teaching him to rely on God’s strength rather than his own. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we pray that this season will open his heart to the saving grace of our Lord. For it is only through Christ that we find true peace and purpose. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, and it is in His name that we bring this request before the Father.
Finally, we pray that regardless of the outcome, your son will glorify God in all things. Whether he excels or faces challenges, may he learn to trust in the Lord’s sovereign plan. If it is God’s will for him to continue with Higher Chinese, we ask that the door will be opened wide. But if the Lord has another path for him, may he embrace it with faith and courage, knowing that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the fears and pressures he faces as he prepares for this exam. We ask that You would fill him with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remove every trace of anxiety, doubt, or fear, and replace it with confidence in You.
Grant him clarity of mind as he reviews his lessons tonight, and tomorrow, as he sits for the exam, bring to his remembrance all that he has studied. Help him to stay focused, to manage his time wisely, and to answer each question with the wisdom You provide. When he feels uncertain, remind him that You are with him, and that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him.
Lord, we pray that this exam will not only be a test of his knowledge but also an opportunity for him to grow in faith. May he learn to trust You in all things, knowing that his future is secure in Your hands. If it is Your will for him to continue with Higher Chinese, open that door and equip him for the journey ahead. But if You have another plan, give him the grace to accept it with joy, knowing that Your ways are higher than his.
We also pray for his salvation, if he has not yet accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Soften his heart to receive Your truth, and may he come to know the depth of Your love and the hope found only in Christ. Let this season be a turning point in his walk with You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in his life, and may You be glorified through it all. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
