Prayer for my son cricket match

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace as he prepares for his cricket match tomorrow morning. It is a beautiful thing to see a parent bringing their child before the Lord in every detail of life, and we thank God for your faith to ask in the mighty name of Jesus.
We pray for the Lord's hand of protection over him as he travels. We ask that God will watch over his going out and his coming in, keeping him safe from all harm. As it is written, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. Psalm 121:7-8. We agree with you for safe travel there and back home again, and for peace in your heart as you entrust him to the Father's care, for He says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We also pray for him on the field, that God would grant him strength, focus, good sportsmanship, and joy as he uses the gifts God has given him. We pray he would play with all his heart as unto the Lord and not merely for men, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23 and whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31. May he do his best, encourage his teammates, respect his opponents and coaches, and reflect Christ-like character in victory or in disappointment.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for this precious son. We ask You to place Your angels around him and keep him safe on his journey to the match and on his return home. Grant him health, energy, and protection from injury. Calm any nerves and let him play with clarity, discipline, and joy. Help him to use the talents You have given him well, to honor You in his attitude and effort, and to be a light to those around him. We pray he would trust in You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding, and that in all his ways he would acknowledge You. Proverbs 3:5-6. Give his parent peace and joy as they watch You work in his life. We ask all this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to point him to the Lord in both his successes and his challenges, reminding him that his worth is found in Christ and not only in his performance. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. May the Lord bless you both and keep you in His perfect peace tomorrow.

We have heard your prayer for your son as he goes to his cricket match tomorrow, and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus.
It is a sweet comfort to remember that the Lord spreads His protection over His people as a hen covers her young with her feathers. There is love in it, and homeliness and kindliness, so that the child of God is made to feel at home under the shadow of the Almighty. You keep your promise to your child, and will not our heavenly Father keep His promise to His own. We pray that your son may know that covering, that he may go and return in safety, kept in all his ways.
The Scripture gives us a precious assurance that He shall give His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their ways. When we keep to the path of duty and walk in the King's highway, we may rest in this perpetual and personal protection. We do not trust to chance, for we are embarked in the good ship of Providence with Christ Himself as our Captain, who has foreordained all things and knows each wind in all its connections. How safe we are under such a Captain, and how becoming it is for us to put implicit confidence in His guidance.
We pray then that the Lord will grant your son a safe journey, guarding his going out and his coming in, preserving him from harm and accident. We pray also that he may be enabled to play well, with a true spirit, with diligence and honesty and cheerfulness, using the strength God has given him and bearing himself in a manner that honours the Lord. May he do his best and leave the issue with Him who orders all things well.
We commend him and you to that faithful Keeper who never slumbers. May you both rest in God and find His Word fulfilled, for He has said He will cover us with His feathers and be our safe shelter. We trust Him to do as He has promised.
