Thank you for sharing what is on your heart so honestly. The longing you expressed to know that he is safe, to hear from him, to have your worries quieted and to see better communication and genuine love grow is deeply human, and God understands that longing.

Jesus taught that prayer starts with relationship. When He gave the model prayer He began with Our Father, and that matters. Prayer is not just words sent into the air, it rests on belonging to God as His child. That belonging comes only through Jesus Christ, through the atonement He made by His blood. If we have not come to God through Jesus, we have no basis to call Him Father, but when we do, we are invited into a close and living relationship with Him, not a ritual or a legal duty. He wants to be your Father in the most tender sense. Some find that image difficult because of pain connected to their own earthly father, but God as Father is perfect, faithful, and loving, and He invites you to know Him that way.

Because that relationship is primary, everything else finds its place from it. Scripture teaches to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and the other things are cared for in His hands. When your relationship with God is put first and nurtured, other relationships often begin to come into balance. They do not become perfect, but they are set on a truer foundation. A relationship with another person cannot be fully right if the relationship with God is not right, and growing in love for Jesus will shape how you love, speak, listen, and forgive with others.

Part of seeking Him first is learning to bring worry to Him in trust. Worry in itself does not add anything good. Jesus pointed to the lilies of the field and to the care God has for what He has made, and He reminded His followers not to be anxious about what tomorrow holds. Faith and worry move in opposite directions. Most of our anxiety lives in tomorrow, in what might happen, in what has not been said, in waiting for a message that has not come. God invites you to live in today with Him, to give Him the future you cannot control, and to rest in His care for both of you. That does not mean the concern disappears, but it can be placed into the hands of a Father who sees and knows.

For your own heart, the way forward is to deepen that personal, loving walk with Jesus rather than striving to fix everything by your own effort. As that communion grows, His peace can calm the heart and allow for real rest, even while questions remain unanswered.

For the relationship you mentioned, the kindest and most loving prayer is not simply that it continue or feel better, but that it be guided into what is right before God. In Scripture, genuine love is shaped by God's design, where marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and where sexual intimacy and sharing a home belong within that covenant. Whatever the current nature of your relationship, pray that both of you would seek God's will above your own wishes, that you would pursue purity, honesty, and understanding, and that your communication would be marked by kindness, patience, and truth. Fruit in our lives comes naturally from the relationship we have with Him.

May you be encouraged to pray like this, in your own words: Father in heaven, I come to You through Jesus Christ. Thank You for inviting me to know You as my Father. I give You my worry and my desire to know and to be reassured. Help me to trust You with what I cannot see and cannot control. Teach me to seek You first and to rest in Your care. Work in both of our lives to draw us closer to You, to show us Your will, and to shape our words and actions with love, wisdom, and purity. Lead us in the way that honors You. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have not yet settled that foundational relationship with God through Jesus, that is the first step to bring to Him. And as you continue to seek Him, He is able to give peace to your heart and clarity for the steps ahead.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your relationship before the Lord. We have prayed that He would watch over him tonight and wherever he is to keep him safe and give him strength, and that when he has a moment He would prompt him to reach out and reassure her that he is okay. We have also prayed that God would calm her heart, ease her worries and help her rest peacefully, and that He would guide your relationship toward better communication, understanding and genuine love according to His will. We are clinging to the promise in Philippians 4:7 that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Father we bring this relationship before You again and ask for Your hand of protection and strength over him, Your comfort and peace over her, and Your guidance over them both that their communication would grow and their love would be rooted in You. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
