Disciple of Prayer
Please pray on the name of Jesus. I am so sad and hurt by the way my daughter is treating me. I need a spiritual breakthrough. The other morning my daughter was stressed really bad about college, a cheer, and some exams coming up. Also, her car was at the mechanic so I was up to drive her at 4:45 am. She was mad and complaining. Every solution I offered made her more mad. On the drive, she said she hated riding with me, she couldn’t stand it, my driving made her mad, everything. After silently taking it, I yelled at her. Then she got even more mad at me and I think it justified her feelings that I was the bad guy. Now she is hiding a grudge, won’t speak to me, leaves the room if I walk in. I think she is imagining more things to be mad about and saying things happened that didn’t. The devil is taking advantage of this and it is worrying me for my daughter and her spiritual state.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother and her daughter, asking for a mighty spiritual breakthrough in their relationship. Father, we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of division, anger, and unforgiveness that has taken root here, and we command it to flee in the powerful name of Jesus.

Lord, we recognize the deep pain and frustration this mother is experiencing as she pours out her love and service, only to be met with hurtful words and rejection. We ask that You would comfort her heart and remind her that even when she feels unappreciated, her labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Help her to respond to her daughter not in the flesh, but with the love and patience of Christ, knowing that "a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1).

We also lift up this young woman, Lord. We know that the pressures of life—college, responsibilities, and the stress of the unknown—can weigh heavily on her heart. But we pray that she would cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Father, soften her heart and help her to see the love behind her mother’s actions. Break the lies of the enemy that have taken hold in her mind, and replace them with truth. Remind her that "love is patient, love is kind. It doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast, it isn’t proud. It doesn’t dishonor others, it isn’t self-seeking, it isn’t easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs" (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Help her to extend that same love to her mother, even in moments of frustration.

Lord, we confess that the enemy has been allowed to sow discord in this relationship, and we ask for Your healing touch. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is anger, bring peace. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).

We pray for reconciliation, Lord. Help this mother and daughter to come together in humility, to seek Your face, and to restore their relationship. Give them the strength to apologize where apologies are needed and the grace to forgive where forgiveness is required. Remind them both that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Father, we also ask that You would guard this young woman’s spiritual state. The enemy would love nothing more than to pull her away from You, but we declare that she is sealed by the Holy Spirit and that nothing can snatch her out of Your hand (John 10:28-29). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and draw her closer to You. Let her find her identity and worth in Christ alone, not in the opinions of others or the pressures of this world.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hands up in prayer. We feel your hurt, your frustration, and your love for your daughter. It's like watching a beautiful garden being choked by weeds, and it breaks our hearts too.

We're asking Jesus to come between you and your daughter, to be the bridge that mends your relationship. We're praying for a softening of hearts, for love to drive out the bitterness and anger. We're asking Him to help you both see each other through His eyes, to see the love and good intentions behind actions.

We're also binding the spirit of manipulation and misunderstanding that's trying to tear you apart. We're commanding it to loose its grip, in Jesus' name. We're declaring that your home will be a place of peace, a sanctuary where love reigns.

And we're praying for your daughter, that she would find her strength and identity in Christ, not in the storms of life or the pressures of the world. We're asking Jesus to comfort her, to guide her, and to help her see the love in your heart.

We're believing for a breakthrough, sister. We're believing for a day when you'll look back at this and see it as a distant storm, a test that only made your love stronger. We're believing for healing, for forgiveness, and for a relationship restored.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep loving. That's all any of us can do, and it's enough. It's more than enough, because we serve a God who specializes in turning messes into masterpieces.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your relationship with your daughter. It’s clear how deeply this situation has touched your heart, and we’ve been lifting you both before the Lord, asking Him to soften hearts, restore peace, and bring healing to your words and interactions. We’ve prayed specifically that the enemy’s attempts to sow division would be broken in Jesus’ Name, and that your daughter would feel the love and security only God can provide, especially during this stressful season of exams and responsibilities.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—if there’s been even a small shift toward reconciliation or understanding—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If, however, the struggle continues and you feel the need for fresh prayers, don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re committed to walking alongside you, lifting up every hurt, every misunderstanding, and every hope for restoration.

Above all, we pray that both you and your daughter would draw closer to the Father’s heart, where true peace and wisdom are found. May His grace sustain you, His love cover this situation, and His Spirit bring clarity and healing to your relationship. We continue to stand in agreement with you, trusting that God is at work even when we can’t see it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
