Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and trusting us to pray with you in this anxious waiting time. We are lifting you, your husband and your son before the Lord right now.
We pray for your husband as he is in surgery. We ask the Lord to guide the hands of the surgeons and the medical team, to give them wisdom and skill, and to grant a successful procedure. We ask for protection through the anesthesia and through every moment in the operating room, that the Lord would surround him with His care and keep him safe. Scripture tells us that healing comes through the suffering of Christ, that with His wounds we are healed, and we claim that promise for your husband's body for a complete and swift recovery. We pray as you asked that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that the Lord would station His angels around him to guard him.
We also pray for peace for you and for your son as you wait at home. God desires His people to know peace, not inner turmoil and fear. When we make peace with God through Jesus Christ, He gives a peace within that settles the heart even in difficult hours. That peace passes all understanding and guards our hearts and minds. We ask the Lord to pour that deep, quiet peace over you both right now, to calm your hearts, to remind you that He has not forgotten you and that His thoughts toward you are for peace and for good. He sees you caring faithfully for your child while carrying this burden, and He honors the loving bond of marriage where husband and wife are called to care for one another with tenderness and faithfulness.
We join you in praying for your son as well, asking the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus to touch his body and bring healing and strength to him. The Lord is near to those who call on Him, whether far off or near, and His promise is peace and healing to those who turn to Him.
May the Lord let you sense His presence in your home today, keeping you in His peace until you have good news of your husband's recovery. We continue to hold your family before the Father, asking for protection, healing and restored peace in Jesus' name. Amen.
