We join you in lifting up your mother before our heavenly Father and we thank Him with you for His blessings and for your grateful heart which is so pleasing to Him, for we know that in everything we are to give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward us 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
We know how heavy the heart can feel the night before a major surgery, especially spinal surgery, and we want to remind you that the Lord is our great Physician and our protector. He sees your mother, He knows every detail of her body which He formed, and He is present in that operating room. We cling to His promises with you that He will restore health and heal wounds Jeremiah 30:17, that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and that we need not be afraid for He is with us, He will strengthen us and uphold us with the right hand of His righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We also take comfort that we can bring every anxiety to Him in prayer, and His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together for your precious mother now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You for Your love and mercy toward this family. We lift up this dear mother to You as she prepares for spinal surgery tomorrow morning. We ask for Your hand of protection to be upon her, to keep her safe and to bring her through this procedure successfully. We pray for wisdom, steadiness and skill for the surgeons, nurses and all the medical staff, guide every decision and every movement of their hands. We pray that You would watch over her body, prevent any complication or infection, and bring complete healing and restoration according to Your will. Lord, sustain her on her sickbed and restore her to health Psalm 41:3, and let Your healing presence fill her room. We pray also for peace for this child who loves her so deeply and for the whole family, calm their anxious hearts and let them rest in Your care, knowing that You keep us from all evil and watch over our coming and going Psalm 121:7-8. We thank You in advance for Your goodness and for the testimony of healing that is to come. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to give thanks and to rest in Him through the night and tomorrow, trusting that whether through the hands of the physicians or by His own miraculous touch, He is the one who heals. Keep praying without ceasing and keep thanking Him, and may His peace be with you and your mother in abundance.
