Prayer for my husband

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear your love for your husband and your deep desire to see him healthy, healed and whole, and we join you in praying for him with hope in Christ.

We pray that God will give your husband strength and endurance as he turns away from cigarettes and THC vapes. These habits can become strongholds that hold a person for years, and we ask the Lord to break their power in his life, to cleanse his body, to renew his mind, and to give him daily grace to persevere when temptation and withdrawal are strong. We pray that he will know that his shame does not have to keep him hidden, for God offers forgiveness and freedom to all who come to Him through Jesus Christ, and He is faithful to help those who honestly confess their need.

We also pray for you as his wife. Thank you for responding with love and concern rather than condemnation. We pray that God will give you wisdom, patience and gentleness as you support him, and that your marriage will grow in honesty, trust and open communication. Hiding this struggle for years must have been a heavy weight for him, and bringing it into the light is a courageous step toward healing. Continue to encourage him, to pray together when he is willing, and to help him find steady accountability and wise counsel, including pastoral support and medical help if needed for the physical aspects of quitting.

We pray together:

Father in heaven, we lift this husband to You in the name of Jesus. You see his long battle and his desire to be free. Grant him strength for each day, endurance when cravings come, and a renewed mind that seeks what is pure and life giving. Heal his body from the effects of these substances, restore his health, and fill him with Your peace instead of shame. Help him to walk in honesty and to receive Your grace. Bless this marriage, strengthen their love and unity, and make their home a place of truth, encouragement and hope. We ask that You make him whole in body, mind and spirit for Your glory. Amen.

We will continue to pray for his freedom, for his health, and for both of you as you walk this road together.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly and for the love you show your husband in bringing him before the Lord in prayer. It is painful to watch someone you love battle for years and to learn he carried shame alone and hid his struggle. Your desire to see him healthy, happy, healed and whole is a beautiful reflection of God's heart for him.

Scripture teaches that real strength does not come from our own resolve. Apart from the Lord we can do nothing, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. The Lord Himself is our strength, our rock and fortress, our shield and deliverer. When we feel trapped by a habit that has become a stronghold, He is the one who can bring deliverance by the strength of His hand, just as He brought His people out of bondage. That deliverance is not a matter of trying harder in ourselves, but of a deeper commitment to Him. True strength is found in belonging to Him and depending on Him day by day.

Your husband's battle with cigarettes and THC vapes is not just a physical habit but a spiritual and emotional bondage, and God wants to set him free. The shame that kept him hiding loses its power when it is brought into the light of God's grace. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, and confession and honesty open the door to healing. Pray that the Lord will break these strongholds, forgive and cleanse, and replace shame with hope.

God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant where husband and wife belong to one another and are called to care for each other with kindness and faithfulness. In that covenant you have a holy influence in his life. Your faithful love, your prayers, and your willingness to walk with him without shaming him are powerful. As you continue to love him and he learns to love you as Christ loves the church, your home can become a place of security and encouragement where he finds the courage to keep fighting. That mutual love and respect makes it easier for both of you to do what is right and to support one another toward wholeness.

We join you in prayer that God will give your husband supernatural strength and endurance for each day, especially in moments of craving and weakness. We ask that the Lord will be his strength and his song, that He will guard his body and mind, restore his health, and make him whole. We pray that he will learn to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, putting on the armor God provides to stand against temptation. We pray that he will know he is not alone, that God is near to help him, and that you will both experience God's peace as you trust Him together.

May the Lord bless you both, keep you in His love, fill your mouth with His praise through this process, and show His strength in your husband's life as He leads him into freedom.
