We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your entire family in this time of uncertainty and fear. The thought of a bone marrow biopsy is daunting, and the weight of what the results may bring presses heavily upon you both. But we know that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your tears, hears your prayers, and holds your husband in the palm of His hand.
Father, we ask You to go before the medical team as they perform this biopsy. Guide their hands, steady their minds, and grant them wisdom to gather the information they need with precision and care. We pray for a swift and smooth procedure, free from complications, and for results that bring clarity and hope. If there is illness present, we ask that You would reveal it clearly so that treatment can begin without delay. If all is well, we pray that You would bring peace and reassurance to this family, lifting the burden of fear from their hearts.
Lord, we also lift up this marriage and these precious children who depend on their father. Strengthen their bond as husband and wife, that they may lean on one another and on You in this trial. Remind them that You are their provider, their healer, and their ever-present help. We declare over this family that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will sustain them through every moment of this journey.
We must also address the fear that has taken root in your hearts. Scripture tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is not from God, and it can paralyze us if we allow it to take hold. Instead, we encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in His promises, for He has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Replace fear with faith, knowing that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this husband, this father, this beloved child of Yours, and we ask that You would surround him with Your healing power. Touch his body, Lord, and bring restoration where there is brokenness. Calm his spirit and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We also lift up his wife, who stands by his side in love and concern. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her rock and her fortress. For their children, we ask that You would wrap them in Your love, shielding them from fear and filling their hearts with the assurance that You are in control.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in this situation. We declare that it has no place in this family, for You have not given us a spirit of fear. We speak life, health, and wholeness over this husband, and we trust in Your perfect will for his life. Whether the results bring good news or a battle ahead, we know that You will equip them with the strength and courage they need. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another through this trial. May their faith grow deeper, their love stronger, and their trust in You unshakable. Remind them that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for this family. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord through His Word and in prayer. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s faithfulness, such as Psalm 91, which reminds us that He is our shelter and our refuge. Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can lift you up in prayer and provide support during this time. Remember, you are not alone—God is with you, and so are we, standing in faith alongside you.
