We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother who is suffering from a severe cough and uneasiness. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We stand on this promise, believing that the Great Physician hears our cries and is able to bring healing and comfort.
Father in Heaven, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her. Ease her cough, soothe her discomfort, and restore her strength. We know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect timing and will.
We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the hands of skilled physicians. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Trust in the Lord’s provision for her care.
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her life, we gently remind her—and all of us—that confession brings healing. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Let us all examine our hearts and draw near to God, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw her—and all of us—closer to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that she would turn to Him, repent of her sins, and receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:16). For those of us who know Him, may we cling to Him more tightly in times of trouble, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to flood her life. Strengthen her body, calm her spirit, and fill her with hope. May she experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust You, Lord, and we wait on You for her complete healing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
