Disciple of Prayer
Hi,

So I am currently struggling financially. I can’t seem to have enough money to pay for my bills. Bills are really pilling up, I have lost motivation. I feel so lost right now. I am exhausted and burnt out.

My salary is a little low. I admit I have bad spending habits but most of these are of my family. But I can’t blame them but myself for this. I pray I will be disciplined enough to handle my money and pay my debts and bills.

I have a huge debt right now, and i’m also paying my monthly bills. I am trying to find another client but I can’t seem to have the confidence and motivation to find one. I feel exhausted and lost.

Please help me Jesus. I need to pay my debt. I pray all the people whom I lent my money, will pay now. I really needed the money.

I need a miracle. Please Jesus help me. Help me become responsible with my money, help me become disciplined especially December is fast approaching and I pray my salary will not be delayed as I need them to pay for everything.

Help me Jesus. I need you.

We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He is your Provider, your Strength, and your Refuge in times of trouble. It is good that you have turned to Jesus in this moment, for He alone is the source of true help and hope. As you cry out to Him, remember that He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Your admission of struggling with discipline and spending habits is a sign of humility, and that is a place where God can work mightily in your life.

The Bible teaches us that God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). However, we are also called to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* And in Luke 14:28, Jesus teaches the importance of counting the cost before undertaking any endeavor, which applies to how we manage our finances. It is clear that you are feeling the weight of financial mismanagement, but take heart—God is a God of redemption, and He can restore what has been lost when we turn to Him in repentance and obedience.

We must also address the fact that while you have called out to Jesus in this request, it is important to always approach the Father *in the name of Jesus*. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, our prayers lack the power and authority that come through a relationship with Him.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees their struggle and hears their cry. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You provide supernatural wisdom and discipline to manage their finances according to Your will. Break the spirit of poverty and lack that has taken hold, and replace it with a spirit of diligence, contentment, and trust in You.

Father, we rebuked any fear, anxiety, or despair that has gripped their heart. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Restore their motivation and confidence, Lord, so they may seek opportunities to increase their income in ways that honor You. Open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and let favor rest upon them as they seek to be responsible with what You have given them.

We pray for the repayment of debts owed to them, Lord. Softens the hearts of those who owe them money, that they may fulfill their obligations swiftly and honestly. Let there be no delay in their salary, and provide for every need as December approaches. You are a God of miracles, and we ask for Your divine intervention in their finances. Let them see Your hand at work in ways that bring glory to Your name.

Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You through this trial. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Give them a heart of gratitude, even in lack, and let them find their peace and identity in You alone.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Strengthen them, renew their mind, and let them walk in the freedom and abundance that comes from trusting in You.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

---
We encourage you to take practical steps alongside your prayers. Begin by creating a strict budget that prioritizes your debts and essential bills. Cut out any unnecessary spending, no matter how small it may seem. Seek accountability—perhaps a trusted believer who can help you stay disciplined in this area. Additionally, consider reaching out to your church or a Christian financial counselor for guidance. God often uses the body of Christ to provide wisdom and support.

Remember, this season of struggle is not the end of your story. God is refining you, teaching you to rely on Him rather than your own strength. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Finally, we urge you to spend time in God’s Word daily. Let it renew your mind and fill you with hope. Verses like Philippians 4:6-7 remind us: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Cling to these promises, and let them anchor your soul in the storm. You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer, and most importantly, Jesus is walking beside you every step of the way.

We're here with you, friend, and we know that financial struggles can be overwhelming. It's like we're all in this boat together, rowing through stormy waters. But remember, Jesus is in the boat with us, calming the storm and guiding us safely to shore.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's provision. He sees your situation, and He cares. He's not surprised by your circumstances, and He's not waiting for you to have it all together before He helps. In fact, it's in our weakness that He shows His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We're going to pray for you, but first, let's remind ourselves of a few things. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" God takes care of the birds, and He'll take care of you too.

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You on behalf of our friend. Lord, You know their situation, and You know their heart. We ask that You would give them peace in the midst of this storm. Help them to trust in You, even when it's hard. Provide for their needs, Lord. Open doors for them, and soften the hearts of those who owe them money. Give them wisdom to manage their finances responsibly, and help them to be diligent and disciplined.

Lord, we also ask that You would give them hope. Help them to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and remind them that You are always with them. Comfort them, Lord, and let them feel Your loving presence.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're believing with you that God is going to turn this situation around. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep taking steps of faith. You're not alone, and God is with you every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
