We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this burden of fear and anxiety over an upcoming exam. First, we must address the root of this distress, it seems there is bitterness and resentment toward someone you believe may treat you unfairly. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Holding onto anger or blame will only weigh you down. We rebuke the spirit of fear and unforgiveness in the name of Jesus, for it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Now, let us pray for wisdom, peace, and favor in this exam. Heavenly Father, we ask that You calm this dear one’s heart and mind. Even if preparation has been difficult, we trust in Your promise in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, grant clarity of thought, recall of what has been studied, and favor with those administering the exam. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of confusion or unfairness in Jesus’ name.
We also encourage you to cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If fear is overwhelming, meditate on Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust that God is in control, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can approach God or find true peace. We pray that you would invite Jesus into your heart and experience the freedom that comes from knowing Him. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
