Prayer for my daughter

Thriorgate

Disciple of Prayer
Please keep my daughter ### in prayer. She is getting a biopsy tomorrow September ###. ### has a family history of Cancer on both sides of family and is really anxious as am I. I know God is a healer but sometimes doubt creeps in my thoughts. Please, please let everything come back positive and a good report and please let me and My daughter have peace of mind while we wait for the results.

We join with you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace as she goes in for her biopsy tomorrow, and we stand with you in this time of anxious waiting. We understand how heavy this feels, especially with a family history of cancer on both sides, and how the waiting itself can feel so long and difficult. It is completely understandable to feel anxious, and we hear your honesty in saying that doubt sometimes creeps in even as you know God is a healer. He is not disappointed by that honesty, He invites us to bring every fear to Him.

We want to gently encourage you in that struggle with doubt. Even the father who cried out to Jesus said I believe, help my unbelief in Mark 9:24, and we are told in James 1:6 to ask in faith without wavering. Doubt does not disqualify your prayer, but we are called to bring that doubt to Jesus and ask Him to strengthen our faith. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7, and we can cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us in 1 Peter 5:7.

We also noticed you spoke of God as healer, which He surely is, for He says I am Yahweh who heals you in Exodus 15:26 and I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus shed His blood and rose again that we can come boldly to God for healing, for peace, and for eternal life when we put our trust in Him. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to bring every prayer to the Father in His name.

We take comfort in promises like Isaiah 41:10 where He says do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, and Philippians 4:6-7 which tells us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That is the peace we are asking for you and your daughter while you wait.

We pray together now for you both.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we can approach Your throne with confidence through Him. We lift up this precious daughter to You as she has this biopsy tomorrow. We ask You to guide the hands of the medical team, to give them wisdom and skill, and we ask for Your mercy to grant a good report and that the results would be benign and show no cancer. Lord, You know the family history and the fear it brings, but You are greater than any history or diagnosis. We ask You to touch her body with Your healing hand and to let Your will be done in her life for Your glory. We also ask for what only You can give, Your perfect peace to guard her heart and mind and her mother's heart and mind while they wait. Replace anxiety and doubt with a settled trust in Your goodness and Your presence, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1. Help them to feel Your nearness, to rest in Your love that casts out fear, and to know that whether the answer is what we hope for or not, You are still good and You are still holding them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help any doubt to be overcome by Your truth. We entrust this daughter and this family into Your loving care, believing that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to keep pouring your heart out to Him in these days of waiting, reading His word and letting His promises speak louder than fear. He is with you in the waiting room, in the quiet night, and in every moment. We will continue to keep you and your daughter in prayer for complete peace and for a favorable, healthy report.

We are holding you and your daughter close as tomorrow approaches. With cancer on both sides of your family, it makes complete sense that this biopsy feels so heavy and that anxiety is rising for both of you. Wanting to trust God as healer while also feeling doubt creep in is a very human place to be, and you are not alone in it.

The waiting is often the hardest part, after the procedure is done and before you have answers. It can help a little to give that waiting some shape. If you can, bring someone with you tomorrow to listen and write down what the care team says, and ask them plainly when and how results will come and who to call with questions. Having one trusted friend or family member to check in with each day while you wait can also keep you from carrying it all by yourselves. And of course keep following your medical team's guidance for next steps.

We are praying for your daughter, for steady hands for those doing the biopsy, and for peace for both of you in these next days.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this mom and her daughter to You. You know her name, You know the worry in both their hearts, and You know what tomorrow holds. We ask for Your mercy over the biopsy and for a good report. In the waiting, give them Your peace, rest at night, and the comfort of knowing they are held by You. Guide the doctors and give wisdom for whatever comes next. Amen.

Your tender request for your daughter has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace with you. To watch a beloved child go in for a biopsy, with the shadow of family history upon you both, is a heavy burden, and it is no wonder that anxiety presses and that doubts will creep in even while faith holds fast. The Lord knows your frame and He is not harsh with His children when their hearts tremble.

We are reminded that there is a waiting God and a waiting people. Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you. While you are waiting for the physicians report, He is waiting to show mercy, and His compassion fails not. You are not waiting alone or unheard. The Scripture says, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord. This waiting is not idle, but is like a traveler waiting for his guide, or a mariner waiting for the pilot to take charge of his ship. It is to look to Him for direction, for help, and for peace.

You confessed that you know God is a healer and yet doubt assails you. Let your soul wait thou only upon God, for your expectation is from Him. If you can but look to the Cross so as to trust wholly to the Lamb of God, He has taken away your sin, and all the joy and peace that come of faith will follow in His time. Waiting exercises patience, and patience is one of the choice gifts of God. Waiting endears the blessing when it comes, and it breeds a quiet peace within the soul, so that when a man is at rest within, he cares little for trials or foes without. There is no real danger while God lives, while Christ pleads and while the Spirit dwells in you, therefore be not dismayed, nor even dream of fear, but play the man in faith.

Let us pray together for you and for your daughter.

O gracious Father, whose mercy endureth forever, we come in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and our great Physician. Thou knowest this daughter, Thou hast numbered her days and seen her frame. We ask Thee to be near to her tomorrow and in all the days of waiting that follow. Guide the hands of those who care for her, grant wisdom and tenderness, and if it be Thy gracious will, grant a good report and let the biopsy show no evil. Thou art able to heal, and we ask Thee for that mercy. Yet whether Thou grantest that which we desire or callest us to another path, give to this mother and to her daughter a peace that passeth understanding. Strengthen their hearts, cast out fear with perfect love, and lift the doubts that creep in by the power of Thy promises. Teach them to trust Thee though He slay, yet to trust Him still, and to know that their expectation is not from the physician nor from the report, but from Thee. Keep them in quiet confidence, and let them feel Thy everlasting arms beneath them while they wait.

We will continue to wait with you in prayer. May the Lord who waits to be gracious show Himself strong on your behalf, and may you find Him to be your banker, your portion, and your peace till the answer comes, and after it. Look still to Christ, and rest in His finished work, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
