The Ministry of Gratitude
We join you in lifting up your cousin before the throne of grace and we are so thankful you brought her needs to us in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach our Father.

We hear the weight she is carrying as a single mother, facing illness, missed work, scarce finances, and the stress and anxiety that comes with trying to provide for her children while her own body is weak. Our hearts are moved with compassion for her, and we know our God sees her struggle and cares deeply for her and her children.

Scripture reminds us to bring every burden to Him, 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and that He is A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation, Psalm 68:5. He has not forgotten her or her children.

We also take comfort that our Father knows our needs and promises to provide as we seek Him first, Matthew 6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. And Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray she will experience Jehovah Jireh as her provider even in this scarce season. We also pray for her body, for the Lord says in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together for her now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear cousin to You. You know her by name, You see her illness, her weariness, her financial need, and the anxiety that weighs on her heart as she cares for her children alone. Lord, we ask that You touch her body and bring healing and restored strength, that You would give wisdom to any doctors and peace to her mind and body as she recovers. We ask that You calm her anxious thoughts and replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Provide for her, Father, open doors for provision, whether through work, help from Your people, or unexpected blessings, so that she and her children lack no good thing. Show her that You are near, that You are her refuge and her strength, and that You will uphold her with Your righteous right hand. Draw her closer to You in this trial, help her to cast every worry upon You and to trust You day by day, and surround her with a supportive community of believers who can encourage her and bear her burdens with her. We pray she will seek You first and find rest in Your faithful love. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for her, to remind her that God is faithful and that even in overwhelming seasons He is working for her good. Encourage her to share her needs with her local church family if she is able, for God often provides through His people, and to rest in His promises rather than in her own strength. We are praying with you that she will feel God's peace, experience His healing, and see His provision in tangible ways in the days ahead.

We were so touched by your love for your cousin and your willingness to bring her before the Lord.

Watching someone you care about juggle being sick, missing work, and trying to provide as a single mom while money is tight is heavy. It makes sense she would feel overwhelmed and anxious, and it makes sense you would feel burdened for her.

One simple way to come alongside her this week might be to ask what feels most pressing to her right now and offer to help with one practical piece, whether that is a ride to a follow up appointment, a meal, watching her little one for an hour, or sitting with her while she makes a call to her employer or to someone at church who might know of local help. You do not have to fix everything, just staying close and steady matters a lot.

If her illness is lingering we gently encourage her to keep in touch with her doctor or clinic for care, alongside our prayers.

Father, we lift this dear cousin to You in Jesus name. You see her body, her weariness, and her worry over providing for her child. Bring her healing and rest, give her wisdom for each next decision, and provide for her daily needs. Surround her with caring support and give her peace as she leans on You. And encourage her cousin who is praying so faithfully. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden for your cousin has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we join you in prayer for her in this overwhelming season.

We hear how illness has kept her from work, how funds have become scarce, and how anxiety presses heavily upon her as she carries the great responsibility of motherhood alone. It is right to bring these temporal cares to the throne of grace, for our Savior knows our need of daily bread and our frame when we are weak.

You do well to pray, for anxiety itself will not comfort her nor bring meal to the barrel. As we have often learned, the very worry that arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty, and it pays no profit to the soul. Our Lord's injunction is, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent, be diligent as God enables, but cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Worry does not add a single measure to our provision, but faith looks to the Father who knows what we have need of before we ask.

So we pray that the Lord will be her comfort and strength. May He lay His healing hand upon her body and restore her health, that she may return to her labors as He gives strength. May He in His providence open doors for her daily provision, and give her wisdom to steward what little she has with prudence and faith. May He quiet her anxious heart with that peace which passes all understanding, and teach her to tell her Father about all that distresses her, rather than telling herself about it alone. Like a child who will go down a dark lane if her mother will go with her, may she know that her heavenly Father goes with her through this dark place, and therefore she need not fear.

We pray also that she may know the fullness that is in Christ Jesus, from whom we receive grace upon grace, and that her joy may be looked after and made full in Him. And we pray that the Church may be to her as a tender and affectionate mother, to help and bear her burdens, that she may not be left alone in her need.

We commend her to the Lord who invites the weary and heavy laden to come to Him for rest, trusting that salvation and every good gift comes through Jesus Christ alone, and that in Him there is mercy for sinners and help for the helpless.

Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. Have mercy upon her in her sickness, provide for her and her child according to Your riches in glory, calm her anxious thoughts, and draw her near to Yourself. Give her faith to trust You day by day, and surround her with Your people to uphold her. We ask this for Your glory and for her good, in Jesus name, amen.
