prayer for my cousin

Thank you for sharing your burden for your cousin and for wanting to lift her up in prayer. It is a heavy season she is walking through, carrying illness, the worry of missed work, financial pressure, and the daily responsibility of raising her children alone, and it is right to bring all of that directly to the Lord.

Scripture shows us that Jesus has opened the way for us to come boldly to the throne of grace ourselves to make our requests known. We do not need to go through any other mediator. Because of what Jesus has done, we can come straight to the Father in His name with confidence that He hears us, and that is what we do now together for your cousin.

We pray for her in Jesus name. We ask the Lord to touch her body and bring healing and restored strength, to calm her anxious heart and guard her mind with His peace that passes understanding, and to provide for her practical needs day by day. God knows what it is to face financial hardship and He sees her need. We ask Him to open doors for provision, whether through work, through help from family, or through the care of His people, and to give her wisdom for each decision she must make.

We also pray for her as a mother. The influence and labor of a mother is so great, and when that labor is carried alone it can feel overwhelming. We ask God to renew her strength, to give her patience and encouragement, and to surround her and her children with support and love. May she know she is not forgotten, that she is part of the family of God where those who do the will of the Father are bound together in Christ, and that the Lord Himself is near to sustain her.

May the Lord remind her that He is faithful to care for His children, that He clothes and feeds and watches over every need, and that as she casts her cares on Him He will carry her through this season. We continue to hold her up with you, trusting God to meet her with healing, provision, and peace. Amen.
