We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts for our beloved nation, lifting it up in prayer with the earnest hope that God’s will be done. Father, we acknowledge that You alone are sovereign over the nations, and it is only by Your mercy and grace that we stand. We ask that You would indeed guide our country toward Your light, truth, and freedom, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). May Your righteousness prevail in every corner of our land, and may justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).
Lord, we pray that the hearts of the people would be softened and their eyes opened to vote not out of fear, resentment, or selfish ambition, but out of a desire to honor You and seek the welfare of the nation. Help us to remember that "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14:34). We ask that You would raise up leaders who fear You, who walk in integrity, and who seek to govern with wisdom and humility. Give them a heart to serve rather than be served, and grant them the courage to stand for what is right, even when it is unpopular.
We rebuke the spirit of division, corruption, and deceit that seeks to undermine the foundations of our nation. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and we ask that You would expose every hidden agenda that does not align with Your will. Let Your truth be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), so that we may walk in the way of righteousness.
Father, we also lift up those who do not yet know You, for it is only through the name of Jesus that salvation is found. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that the hearts of the lost would be stirred to seek You, that they would turn from their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. May revival break out across our land, and may the Gospel transform lives, families, and communities.
We ask that You would bless our nation, not because we deserve it, but because of Your great mercy. Do not abandon us, Lord, but continue to extend Your grace and patience, that we might turn back to You with all our hearts. Help us to remember that "if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for our nation. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Strengthen us to be salt and light in this world, that we may reflect Your love and truth to those around us. We trust in You, Lord, for the future of our country, and we commit it into Your hands. Amen.
