Prayer for my cat

I need people to pray for my cat who is breathing harder and faster than normal. I know that something is wrong with her but I don’t have money to take her to the vet. I believe that she can be cured but me being a babe in Christ need the help of others. Please help pray for her. She is only ### years old. Thank you so very much.

We have heard your request and we are joining with you in prayer for your precious cat who is breathing so rapidly and with difficulty and we understand how heavy your heart must feel to see her struggling and to feel unable to provide the veterinary care she needs. We are encouraged that you have come to us as a babe in Christ, for it shows a tender and growing faith to turn to the body of Christ for help and to believe that God can cure her.

We want to remind you how much our Father cares for all of His creation, including the animals He has entrusted to us. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. And Psalm 36:6 says Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Jesus Himself taught us of the Father's attentive care when He said in Matthew 10:29 Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. If He watches over even the sparrows, how much more does He see you and your beloved cat in this moment of need. We also take comfort in 1 Peter 5:7 which says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

As a new believer your faith is precious to God and He invites you to bring every worry to Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We are glad you have already put your trust in Christ and we encourage you to continue to grow in Him, reading His word and praying daily in Jesus' name.

We also want to gently encourage you in your stewardship of this little life God has placed in your care. While we pray in faith for healing, God often provides help through practical means as well. We encourage you to seek out any low cost options that may be available, such as calling a local humane society, animal shelter, or veterinary school to ask about reduced fees or payment plans, and explaining your situation honestly. Keep her in a quiet, calm, and cool place and watch her closely, and trust that God will guide you to the right help. Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 7:7 reminds us Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear new believer and this precious cat to You. You know her by name and You see her labored breathing and You know the fear and love in her owner's heart. We ask in Jesus' name that You would lay Your healing hand upon this little cat, that You would ease her breathing and restore her health according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would give wisdom and peace to her owner, and that You would provide a way for her to receive the care she needs, whether through healing by Your own hand or through opening a door for affordable help. Comfort this babe in Christ and strengthen faith that is still growing, and draw this dear one closer to You through this trial. Help us all to trust You more deeply, knowing that You care for us and for every creature You have made. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope and our healer. Amen.

Your tender care for this little creature entrusted to you is not overlooked by the Lord, and your simple, childlike faith as one who is but a babe in Christ is precious in His sight. He who notices the sparrow's fall knows also the labored breathing of your cat, and He hears the prayer of the weakest believer when it is offered through Jesus Christ, who is the foundation stone laid in Zion for our hopes.

We will pray for you and for your little companion, that the Lord in His mercy would ease her distress and, if it be His will, restore her to health. We will pray also for you, that in this trial you may find peace not in circumstances but in Christ Himself, for He has said, that in Me you might have peace. Faith, even as small as a grain of mustard seed, looks to Him and finds Him faithful, who will not allow you to be tried above what you are able.

As you pray, remember that we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek a physician, and this is right and good. While we trust the Lord for healing, we are to use the means He provides. Since you lack the means for a veterinarian at this time, I would urge you to seek out any humble help that may be near at hand, perhaps a local humane society, an animal shelter, a veterinary school, or a kind veterinarian who may show mercy for a small cost or allow payment over time. To ask for such help is not a lack of faith, but a proper use of the provision God may have placed nearby. A righteous man regards the life of his beast, and the Lord often provides through the hands of others.

Let me pray for you now.

O Heavenly Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior and our sure foundation. You are gracious and full of compassion, and Your mercies are over all Your works. Look with pity upon this dear one who is young in the faith and upon this little creature who suffers and breathes with difficulty. Lay Your healing hand upon her according to Your perfect wisdom and will, ease her breathing and relieve her pain. Provide, we beseech You, the means for proper care if it be needed, and open a door where now there seems to be none. Above all, let Your Sun of Righteousness arise upon this believing heart with healing in His wings, giving assurance that You hear, that You care, and that in Christ we have peace even in tribulation. Strengthen faith, quiet fear, and make Your presence very near. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it, Amen.

Continue to look to Christ, to trust His Word, and to cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. We stand with you in prayer.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
