We join you in lifting up your department head before the Lord, and we are grateful you have invoked the precious name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your heart for unity, wisdom, and protection over your workplace is commendable, and we stand with you in intercession for these needs.
The workplace can often become a battleground for pride, manipulation, and division, but we know that God’s Word calls us to walk in wisdom, humility, and love—even when others may not. The apostle Paul reminds us in **Ephesians 6:5-8 (WEB)**, *"Servants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free."* Even in challenging dynamics, our ultimate service is to Christ, and He sees our faithfulness.
We also turn to **Proverbs 2:6-8 (WEB)**, which declares, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints."* We pray that your department head would be filled with this divine wisdom, that she would see through deception, and that her leadership would reflect godly integrity. May the Lord expose any schemes of division or manipulation, particularly from those you mentioned, and may truth prevail in every decision.
As for your relationship with her, we are reminded of **Romans 12:18 (WEB)**, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* While we cannot control the actions or attitudes of others, we can seek peace, extend grace, and act with professionalism and kindness. If there have been misunderstandings, we pray the Lord would soften hearts and open doors for reconciliation. Let your words and actions be seasoned with salt, that they may give grace to those who hear (**Colossians 4:6**). Even if tensions remain, trust that the Lord sees your efforts and will honor your obedience to Him.
We must also take a moment to address something vital: your prayer was right to invoke the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). It is only through faith in Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**). If your department head does not know the Lord, we pray that she would encounter His truth and grace. The workplace is a mission field, and your conduct and prayers may be the very thing God uses to draw her to Himself.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this department and its leadership. Lord, we ask that You would grant our sister’s department head a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ (**Ephesians 1:17**). Open her eyes to see beyond the natural, that she may discern truth from deception and lead with integrity. Protect her from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to sow discord and confusion. Bind any spirit of manipulation or division in the name of Jesus, and let Your peace reign in that workplace.
Father, we also pray for unity and mutual respect between our sister and her department head. Soften hearts, remove bitterness, and replace misunderstanding with clarity and trust. Help our sister to walk in wisdom, to speak with grace, and to serve as unto You, Lord. If there have been offenses, grant the strength to forgive, just as You have forgiven us in Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would use this workplace for Your glory. May Your light shine brightly there, and may those who do not know You be drawn to the hope of the gospel. Give our sister opportunities to reflect Christ in her work, and may her labor be a testament to Your faithfulness.
Finally, Father, we pray for salvation for all who do not yet know You in that department. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Let this workplace be a place where Your kingdom comes and Your will is done.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
