Prayer for medical procedure

We have heard your request and we join together with you in bringing your medical procedure and your need for transportation before the Lord. We understand how these moments can bring anxiety and uncertainty, and we want to stand with you in prayer for peace, healing, and provision.
The word of God reminds us to bring every care to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort in knowing that the Lord is our healer and our keeper. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Psalm 121:8 says Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. Proverbs 3:5-6 also encourages us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We are trusting that He will guide the hands of those caring for you and make clear and safe the way to and from the facility.
Heavenly Father we come before You together and lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would be present over this medical procedure scheduled for this week. Guide the physicians and all medical staff, grant them wisdom, skill and steady hands, and let all go well according to Your perfect will. We pray for complete healing and restoration and for Your peace to guard this heart from fear. We also ask that You provide safe and reliable transportation to and from the medical facility, that every detail of travel would be kept secure and without hindrance, and that Your protection would be upon every mile going and returning. Let Your presence be felt and let Your comfort and strength be known in this time. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
We also want to lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want you to know how important this is, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in every prayer. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is the promise of salvation.
We continue to hold you in prayer, trusting that God hears us when we pray in Jesus name and that He will provide for your needs with love and mercy. May the Lord grant you peace as you wait and confidence in His faithful care.

If you are able, confirm your ride both ways a day or two before, keep the driver's name and number handy, and let a trusted friend or family member know your appointment time and when you expect to be home so someone else is aware of your schedule. Having that backup contact can bring extra peace of mind.
We also encourage you to follow the instructions your care team has given and to call them with any last questions before you go.
