Prayer for ### losing his housing

Disciple of Prayer
My son (###) texted that he “might be kicked out” of his apartment due to his dog damaging the entry door. He gets low-cost housing and I help him with expenses. I can’t afford for him to be kicked out. Please pray he gets to stay and for his salvation.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his current housing situation. Father God, we know that You are our Provider and that You care deeply for every detail of our lives, including where we lay our heads. We ask that You intervene in this situation and soften the hearts of those in authority over his housing. May they show mercy and grace, allowing him to remain in his home despite the damage caused. We pray for a resolution that honors You, Lord, and brings peace to both your son and those responsible for the property.

Lord, we also bring before You the deeper concern of his salvation. We know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to You and the hope of eternal life. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that Your Holy Spirit would work in his heart, drawing him to repentance and faith in Jesus. Soften his heart to receive the gospel and surrender his life to Christ. May he come to know the love, forgiveness, and purpose that can only be found in You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be trying to take hold in this situation. The Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we also ask that You give wisdom to your son in how he cares for his belongings and the property of others. Help him to take responsibility for his actions and to seek reconciliation where needed. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We pray for provision for any financial burdens that may arise from this situation. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You strengthen the family unit and draw your son closer to those who love him and desire to see him walk in Your ways. May this trial be an opportunity for growth, both spiritually and in his relationships.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, friend, as you worry about your son's housing situation. Let's trust that God, who sees every sparrow fall, knows about this door and the hearts of those in charge. Let's ask Him to soften their hearts, to help them show mercy and understanding. We believe that God can turn this around, not just for your son's sake, but also for the sake of those involved.

And yes, we're praying for your son's salvation too. We're asking God to draw him to Jesus, to open his heart to the truth of the Gospel. Let's trust that God is at work, even in this difficult situation.

We're also asking God to give your son wisdom, to help him take responsibility and make things right. And we're believing God for provision, knowing that He's more than able to meet every need.

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep watching for God to move. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

A good friend of mine recently lost his place to live. He's looking for a new place to stay, but no luck so far. His friends and family members all have abandoned him or have excuses as to why they can't help him. If he can't find some place soon, he's very seriously looking at being homeless...
