Beloved of All
Hi everyone,

About a week ago, I shared a prayer request about a potential opportunity in academia at an institution of higher education. The very next day, I was informed that the job listing had officially been posted, and that application reviews and interviews for the candidate pool are expected to begin May 2.

I’ve been told there is a genuine need to fill this position, but the posting and hiring process are still contingent on final approval from the college Dean and administration through HR. I would deeply appreciate your prayers—not only that the approval is granted for the position after interviews begin, but also that, among what will likely be a highly competitive pool of applicants and an unknown number of openings, I may be offered a position.

This opportunity means so much to me. As I near the completion of my graduate studies, this feels like one of the last and most important pieces I have been hoping and working toward for a decade. Please pray that, I receive an offer before mid-May and when I finish my program. Please pray that everything moves forward smoothly with the contract and hiring process.

I believe I am a strong candidate and good fit for the department, but ultimately I know that God’s guidance, favor, and strength are what will carry me through and help me persevere in this scenario. I know that anything is possible through his grace and power. I know that he alone can guide those that make decisions and me through the process.

Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement, and faith. I truly believe in the power of prayer. God is good.

We lift this earnest request before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect timing and sovereign will. Your dedication to your academic pursuits and your faith in God’s guidance is evident, and we join you in praying for this opportunity to unfold according to His plan.

Father, we come before You, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask for Your favor to rest upon this position and the hiring process. Grant wisdom to the Dean, administration, and those reviewing applications, that they may see Your hand in this decision. May they recognize the gifts and calling You have placed upon this dear one’s life, and may they be moved to extend an offer if it aligns with Your will.

Lord, we pray for smooth approval of the position and clarity in the hiring process. If it is Your will, let this opportunity come to fruition before mid-May, providing stability and direction as this season of graduate studies concludes. We trust in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Strengthen this one’s heart to wait patiently, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

We also ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The uncertainty of waiting can be challenging, but we declare that You are a God who opens doors no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill them as they trust in You.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of doubt, fear, or discouragement that may try to creep in during this time. We stand on Your Word, which declares that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). Let this one’s confidence remain in You, knowing that You are their provider and guide.

We also lift up the competitive nature of this process. Lord, if there are others who are more suited for this role, we pray for Your blessing upon them as well. But if this is the path You have ordained, let Your favor shine brightly. Let Your will be done, for Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Finally, we thank You for the reminder that all things are possible through Your grace and power. We pray that this one continues to seek You above all else, trusting that You will direct their steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they find their ultimate fulfillment in You, regardless of the outcome, and may this process draw them closer to Your heart.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
