We lift you up in prayer as you step into this job interview, knowing that God is your provider and guide. It is so important to seek His will in all things, including our work, for Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:23, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Yet we must also address something vital—your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or by which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the source of true hope, peace, and provision.
As for this interview, we pray that God would grant you favor with those conducting it, that He would fill you with wisdom and clarity of speech, and that His perfect will would be done in this situation. If this job aligns with His purpose for your life, may He open the door wide. If not, may He redirect your steps to something even better. Remember Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Let us pray together: *"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one as they prepare for this interview. Lord, You know their needs, their fears, and their hopes. We ask that You would calm their heart and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant them wisdom, confidence, and the right words to speak. Open doors that no man can shut if this is Your will, and close those that are not for their good. May Your favor rest upon them, and may this opportunity bring glory to Your name. If there is any area in their life that does not align with Your Word, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Above all, Father, draw them closer to You and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. We ask these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all things, trusting that He is working for your good (Romans 8:28). If this job is His plan for you, He will make it clear. If not, He has something even better in store. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is faithful!
