I’m an International student graduated in May 2025 from a US university. I want a job that pays me well to clear my student debt and sponsors me a employment visa. The job market is so tough that I lost all my hope and seeking Lord’s help everyday for getting some mercy in his eyes

Lions Lacking — But the Children Satisfied
A Hard Life
A Lesson from the Great Panic
We have read your request and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand the weight you are carrying as an international student who graduated in May 2025, facing student debt, a difficult job market, and the need for an employment visa and sponsorship. It is understandable to feel that hope is fading when doors seem closed, but we want to remind you that our God sees your diligence, your needs, and your future, and His mercy is new every morning.

We are encouraged that you are seeking the Lord's help every day, for He is the true source of provision and hope. The Lord is close to those who are discouraged. The psalmist says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. And we are told, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We also want to lovingly share an important truth we noticed in your request. You mention seeking the Lord's mercy, but you do not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive mercy and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray and find favor in God's eyes, and it is through Him that God supplies our needs according to His riches in glory.

We want to encourage you not to lose hope. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. God is able to provide a job that meets your needs and honors your hard work. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We encourage you to commit your job search and your visa needs to Him daily, seeking His will first. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. Proverbs 16:3. Continue to work diligently as unto the Lord, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. We encourage you to remain faithful in applying, networking, and stewarding what God has already given you, trusting that He can open a door for sponsorship that no man can shut, and He can give you favor in the eyes of employers.

We lift you up now in prayer together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear student to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the burden of debt, the anxiety over the job market, and the longing for a stable job with a visa sponsorship. We ask for Your mercy and favor upon this life. Open doors for a good job that provides honestly and sufficiently to meet financial obligations and to live faithfully before You. Give favor with employers and with those who make decisions about visas and sponsorship. Grant wisdom, perseverance, and peace while waiting, and guard this heart from despair. Help this one to trust in Jesus fully for salvation and for daily provision, and to seek Your will above all. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. We ask that You provide in Your perfect timing and that Your name be glorified through this testimony. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We've been thinking about your request and how much is pressing on you at once. Graduating in May and stepping into a tough market while carrying student debt and needing a visa that depends on finding a sponsor is a lot to hold. It makes sense you feel your hope wearing thin, and we're grateful you are turning to the Lord for mercy each day.

We want to stand with you in that. God sees the practical details you are facing and also the discouragement that builds when applications seem to go nowhere.

One small step that has helped others in a similar place is to lean on the supports your university still offers. If you haven't already, it may help to check in with the international student office about your work authorization timeline and any options they know of, and with the career center or alumni contacts in your field for a resume review and for informational conversations that can sometimes lead to referrals. Even a brief meeting with a trusted mentor or pastor can ease the isolation of searching alone and help you sort next priorities.

Father, we bring our brother before You. You know his need for work, for provision to meet his debts, and for a path to remain and work here if it is Your will. Give him wisdom for each application and interview, steady his heart when discouragement rises, and provide for his daily needs. Open the right doors in Your timing and guide his steps. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Thanks for the prayer buddy. I have already accepted Christ as my saviour and Lord. By LORD I mean all(Father God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit)

Your request has been heard and we have carried it to the throne of grace. To graduate in a strange land, to bear the weight of student debt, to seek honest labour that will both provide for your needs and grant you a lawful place to remain, and to find the market hard and hope failing, is a heavy trial. The Lord knows the burden you carry and He hears those who seek His mercy daily.

We are reminded of Job among the ashes. There were chapters in his life tinged with hopelessness, when he felt as if God had left him a prey to the enemy. Yet this was not true. The Lord has never deserted any of His people, though for a season they may think He has. Jehovah revealed Himself to Job, and Job learned a more vivid apprehension of Him, so that he retracted his pleadings and confessed that God must be right. In all his losses, in all that he did and thought and said, Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, but he fell down upon the ground and worshipped. There is a triumph of gracious patience in such a spirit, and we pray that same sustaining grace may be yours, that you may be kept from unbelieving speeches and kept near to God in worship even while you wait.

The Scripture says, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. Job tells of a time when his glory was fresh in him and his bow was renewed in his hand, and though that freshness seemed lost for a season, the Lord at the last gave him more than he had before. We cannot promise what form deliverance will take, but we know our God is able to open doors no man can shut, to give favour in the eyes of employers, and to provide for your daily bread according to His wisdom and mercy.

Let us pray for you.

O Lord our God, who seest the stranger and the sojourner, have mercy upon this Thy servant. Thou knowest the desire for honest work, for provision to clear what is owed, and for favour concerning employment and a visa. We entreat Thee to guide every application, to grant wisdom in each step, and to open, if it be Thy will, a door for labour that is honourable and sufficient. Keep this heart from charging Thee foolishly, and teach it to trust Thee still. Though Thou shouldst try as Thou didst Job, grant grace to say, Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Let hope shine as a star that never sets, and anoint with fresh oil. Provide, sustain, and lead, and cause Thy peace to guard this soul while waiting upon Thy good providence. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and through whom we have access to Thy mercy. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily and to be diligent in what your hand finds to do. Cast not away your confidence, for the Lord who supported Job can support you. He sees your need, He numbers your days, and He will do what is right. May He keep you in patient faith until He shall turn your captivity in His own time and way.
