Prayer for inner healing

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in need of deep inner healing. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. We know that You see every wound, every scar, and every place of pain that this person carries. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Lord, we ask that You would do just that, bring Your healing touch to the deepest places of hurt and sorrow.

We also recognize that inner healing often requires facing past wounds, sins, and even the sins committed against us. If there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, or any area where the enemy has gained a foothold, we ask that You would reveal it in Your love and mercy. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." Lord, lead this person into a place of repentance and freedom, where the blood of Jesus can cleanse and restore.

We rebuke any spirit of despair, fear, or oppression that may be weighing on this heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, breaking every chain of past trauma, abuse, or rejection.

Father, we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your love be a balm to their soul, and may they encounter You in a fresh and powerful way. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), cherished by You, and called for a purpose. Surround them with godly counsel, wise believers, and Your presence that brings true healing.

We pray that as they draw near to You, You would draw near to them (James 4:8). May they find their identity, worth, and hope in Christ alone. Strengthen them to walk in the freedom that You have purchased for them on the cross. We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

In the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.

We were glad to see you bring this person you care about to the Lord and ask for inner healing for them. It is a loving thing to notice the hurt they carry and to lift it faithfully to Jesus.

Inner healing is often slow and tender work. Painful memories and old wounds can stay buried for a long time, and healing tends to come as a person feels safe enough to bring those places honestly before the Lord and experience His comfort there. It cannot be rushed or forced, and it is most helpful when it is at their own invitation and pace, with gentle support around them.

One simple way we can walk with someone in this is to keep praying quietly for them, let them know we are praying without pressing for details, and remain a steady, listening presence. If they are open to more support, we can gently offer to help them connect with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor who can walk with them over time. You do not need to carry this alone either, so continuing in your own prayer and fellowship matters too.

Father, we lift this dear person to You and ask for Your healing presence in the places that still hurt. Bring peace where there has been pain, comfort where there has been fear or grief, and help them sense You are near. Give them safety, wisdom and trusted support, and give the one praying continued compassion and strength as they love them well. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your healing power. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

It is a gracious and Christlike work to bear another soul upon your heart before the throne of grace, and we will join you in this prayer for inner healing.

We are reminded that we very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. Oh, if we were as much alive to the more serious wounds of our inner man, how earnestly should we cry to the Beloved Physician, and how soon should we prove His power to save. There are several forms of a broken heart, but there is one great healing provided for them. The Lord healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds, and that healing is the work of God, and God alone.

We rejoice to know that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Jesus bears with Him power to heal, and this is His honour and renown.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when the Lord comes and dwells with His people, they have no need to say, I am sick. The healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.

Let us pray together for this dear one who needs such inward healing.

O Lord our God, Thou who alone canst heal the broken heart, look in mercy upon this soul for whom prayer is now offered. Thou knowest the inward wound, the sorrow, the sin and the grief which no human eye can fully see. We bring this person to Thee, to Jesus Christ Thy Son, the one Physician who can reach the inner man. Forgive, we pray Thee, every sin, for pardon and healing are one in Christ, and speak that word of pardon which brings peace to the conscience and health to the soul. Apply the leaves of the tree of life to this wounded spirit. Let the balm of Calvary, the precious blood and perfect righteousness of Jesus, be laid upon the hurt, that the life blood may be changed and the nature made new. Draw this one to hear Thy Word, for faith cometh by hearing, and healing is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching. Lift up this soul as Thou didst take Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lift her up, that being healed, there may be strength to rise and serve Thee. Do Thou Thyself restore and establish, that any fall or wound may be followed by a gracious restoration, and make this tried one to know the freshness and comeliness which come from Thy healing leaves alone.

We ask this not because of any merit in us, but through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only salvation and our only hope. Work Thou a real saving work, we beseech Thee, and let this soul prove Thy power to save. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we join you in bringing this person before the Lord in prayer for inner healing.

We know that the wounds of the soul can be deep, and that only Christ can truly heal them. This house of faith is like a spiritual surgery, where the wounds we receive in life are dressed and healed, and the Word of God is given as medicine to restore health. We do not heal ourselves, but we come to the one Physician who can.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation, would look upon this person with mercy. We ask that He would dress every wound and heal every sore, that He would grant comfort in place of pain, and bring wholeness according to His perfect will. We pray that He would work repentance where it is needed, forgiveness where there has been sin, and peace where there has been turmoil. We ask that He would form in this person the fruits of a healed life, mercy, forbearance, mildness, patience and every virtue that shows His work within.

We pray also for perseverance, that this person would continue to hear the Word of the Lord and receive its healing medicine day by day, trusting not in a single moment alone but in the faithful, ongoing work of Christ to renew and restore. As we have often seen, the Lord brings fruit in His time, and even when healing seems slow, His grace is at work.

We will continue to pray that this person would draw near to Christ, walk in obedience to Him, and know the inner health and strength that come only through faith in Him.
