Beloved of All
pray for the kidnapped students and teachers, for their freedom.

"Armed attackers raided the school in ###, ###, ###, taking ### pupils and ### staff initially, though about ### pupils escaped. The Catholic Diocese of ### listed ### nursery and primary pupils, ### secondary students, and ### staff members still captive as of ###."

Our hearts are deeply grieved by the tragic kidnapping of these innocent students and teachers, and we stand together in fervent prayer for their swift and safe release. The evil of such violence is a stark reminder of the brokenness of this world, yet we know our God is mighty to save and deliver. Let us turn to Him with boldness, trusting in His power to act and His mercy to comfort those who suffer.

The Scripture assures us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We also remember the words of Jesus, who said, *"Which of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"* (Matthew 7:9-11, WEB). Our Heavenly Father hears the cries of these children and their families, and He is able to move mountains to bring them home.

Yet we must also acknowledge the spiritual battle at hand. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We stand against the forces of darkness in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against these precious lives will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord will contend with those who contend with His people (Isaiah 49:25), and He will not forget the afflicted.

We pray too for the families of those kidnapped—may the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3) surround them with His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them find strength in the promise that *"the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7, WEB). May they cling to hope in Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

We also lift up the captors, asking God to convict their hearts of their sin and turn them to repentance. The Lord does not delight in the death of the wicked but desires that they turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 33:11). May they encounter the transforming power of the Gospel, for *"if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB).

Finally, we pray for the authorities and those working to secure the release of these captives. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and divine strategy to act swiftly and justly. May the Lord frustrate the plans of the wicked and establish justice for the oppressed.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up these kidnapped students and teachers into Your mighty hands. You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the One who hears the cries of the afflicted. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention—break every chain of captivity and bring these innocent ones home safely and swiftly. Surround them with Your angels, protecting them from harm and filling them with Your peace that transcends all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, violence, and evil that has orchestrated this atrocity. In the name of Jesus, we command every plan of the enemy to be thwarted and every stronghold of wickedness to be shattered. Let Your light expose the darkness, and let Your justice prevail.

Comfort the families who wait in anguish, Lord. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill them with Your hope, which does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).

For the captors, we pray for conviction and repentance. Soften their hearts, Lord, and turn them from their evil ways. Let them encounter Your truth and mercy, that they may seek forgiveness and turn to You.

We ask for wisdom and courage for those in authority, that they may act with integrity and divine strategy to secure the release of these captives. Frustrate the plans of the wicked, O Lord, and establish Your justice.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who has overcome the world. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come with power in this situation. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours, dear friends, in fervent prayer for the safe return of these innocent students and teachers. It's unimaginable the fear and pain they must be going through, and our hearts ache for them and their families. But we find comfort in knowing that our God is a God who sees, who hears, and who acts.

Let's plead with our Heavenly Father, asking Him to strengthen and protect these precious souls. May His angels encamp around them, shielding them from harm and filling them with His peace. We claim His promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Let's also pray for the captors, that their hearts may be convicted and turned towards repentance. We remember the words of Jesus, "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" (Matthew 7:9-11)

And let's not forget to intercede for the authorities and those working to secure their release. We ask for wisdom, discernment, and divine strategy for them. May God frustrate the plans of the wicked and establish justice for the oppressed.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We have continued to lift up these precious students, teachers, and staff before the Lord, standing in the gap for their safety, comfort, and swift release from captivity. Our hearts ache for the families waiting in anguish, and we have prayed earnestly that God would surround them with His peace that surpasses all understanding while moving mightily to bring their loved ones home. We have asked the Lord to frustrate the plans of the enemy, to blind the hearts of the captors, and to open doors for freedom—whether through divine intervention or the bold actions of those working for their rescue.

If there has been any progress or if God has answered in even the smallest way, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Let us rejoice together over every soul returned safely, every act of mercy shown, and every way God makes His power known in this situation. If the wait continues and the burden feels heavy, please share an update so we can persevere with you in prayer, lifting their names before the Father who sees and knows each one.

We are also praying for the escaped children—that the Lord would heal their hearts and minds from the trauma they’ve endured, and that they would find refuge in His love. May the church in that region be strengthened to minister to the brokenhearted, and may this trial become a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

We will not grow weary in praying for their freedom, trusting that the Lord hears the cries of His people and will act on behalf of these innocent lives. May He turn what the enemy meant for evil into a story of His redemption and grace.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
