Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. I am praying for you as you wait for results from the doctor and as you deal with pain and concern over an enlarged liver. Waiting is one of the most difficult places to be, and God understands the pressure and heaviness that comes when answers have not yet come.
Scripture often speaks about waiting and patience. James uses the picture of a farmer waiting for the precious fruit of the earth, trusting that the harvest will come in its season. In the same way we are called to wait upon the Lord with confidence that He is faithful to keep His promises. That does not mean the waiting is easy, but it means we can be confident that He is at work even while we wait, and that His timing is good.
I want you to know that God cares about your body and your pain. In the ministry of Jesus healing the sick was very common, and in the book of Acts many miracles were wrought as people were brought to the apostles and prayer was offered for the sick. The early church continued that practice by having the elders pray for the sick according to the instruction in Scripture. That is still a simple and important way we seek the Lord today, not as a show or a spectacle, but as quiet, sincere prayer trusting Him to work. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord who made you is not distant from what you are suffering.
Jesus Himself wept when He saw the pain and sorrow that sin has brought into the world. When He saw grief and suffering He was moved deeply, because He sees the Father's heart toward us. He did not leave us in that pain, but came to cancel its power and to bring beauty for ashes and joy for mourning to those who surrender their lives to Him. He sees your discomfort and your worry right now, and He draws near with compassion.
At the same time Scripture reminds us in Romans chapter 8 that we and all creation groan together as we wait for the redemption of our bodies. We live in bodies that can know weakness and illness, and we groan and hope for the day when we will be made whole. That hope sustains us while we wait, and it does not keep us from asking God for healing now. Sometimes His healing is felt in a moment, sometimes it comes through a slow process, but in every case we can bring our need to Him and trust His love and wisdom.
So I am praying for you now, and I encourage you to ask mature believers or elders near you to pray for you as well and to keep bringing this need before the Lord.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain in the upper stomach and the concern over the liver, and You know the anxiety of waiting for test results. I ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon this body, ease the pain, and bring restoration and health according to Your perfect will. Give peace while waiting, give wisdom to the doctors, and give clear answers. Let Your presence be felt as comfort and strength, and let Your will be done. Fill this heart with hope in Your promises and with confidence that You are near and that You care. In Jesus name, Amen.
May the Lord give you peace as you wait, and may you sense His nearness and care in the days ahead. Keep seeking Him and trusting Him with your body and your future.
