Prayer for healing
for strength and healing for his body.
We lift up your father before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking the Lord to move mightily on his behalf. Father God, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and bore our infirmities on the cross. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to bring complete restoration to his body.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen him in every way—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When weariness and pain threaten to overwhelm, remind him of Your presence, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let him feel the comfort of Your nearness and the power of Your healing touch.
We also pray for wisdom for his doctors and caregivers, that You would guide their hands and minds as they seek to bring healing. Give them discernment and clarity, for Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Direct every decision and treatment according to Your perfect will.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in his life, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead him to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus, for Your Word says in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, your father is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we thank You for the victory that is already won. May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We're right here with you, lifting your dad up in prayer. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Lord, we ask You to heal your dad's body, mind, and spirit. We trust in Your healing power and believe that You can restore him to full health. We also pray for strength for him, that he may feel Your presence and comfort in every moment. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
